Welcome to our Story

We met at a basketball game in 2013 for bikers. Our mutual best friend suggested we have an interest in one another.

We planned a trip to St. Louis. It was our first of many road trips together.

We planned a tour up the east coast, one of our many road trips. Upon return, we headed to Racine to pick up Alaya from her grandmother when we stopped to purchase a pregnancy test. The entire trip, Michelle was extremely tired and slept A LOT. Only to return to Wisconsin to find out the last of the Mohicans was underway.

With a difficult pregnancy, and Devon almost missing the birth of his Jr due to wanting to go home and take shower, Devon Jr made his way into the world January 9th. Devon Sr received the phone call from Nicole that Michelle was ready to deliver and he didn’t believe her. He hung up the phone. Michelle, while in labor, had to convince him to hurry and return to the hospital. Of course, with Devon’s luck, he got stuck behind an officer and did not want to pass him. Lucky for him, he literally got there just in time, within a minute or 2, before D2 entered the world.

We took Mom to see one of her favorite all-time artists, Elvis. It was a trip to remember. We had the luxury of making it possible to help Mom cross something off of her bucket list. That is a memory we as a family, will never forget!

Devon and Nicole planned a cocktail dressed birthday party to celebrate Michelle’s 40th birthday. It started out as a surprise party but Devon cannot hold water from Michelle. So of course, he told her. But one thing he could hold in, was a surprise proposal. He proposed in front of their friends and family. Of course she cried! It was perfect.

On this day, Devon and Michelle open a new chapter in their book. They are able to enter this chapter surrounded by all of their friends and family that have supported them through a challenging journey. But each moment was worth it to get to this day.
