We officially met in 8th grade, we shared a lot of the same friends so it was inevitable that we'd meet. We started off as friends getting to know each other and it grew from there. We went to Knotts Scary Farm for Adam's 14th birthday where it was clear that our friendship was turning into something more. After that night it was no longer a question on if we'd be a couple, but rather when we'd be a couple. 10 days after Michi's 13th birthday, Adam finally got the courage to ask Michi to be his girlfriend on the Thursday before winter break.

Adam told Michi that they'd be going to meet at Adam's dads house before dinner. On the way Michi asked Adam to stop by her old house, not knowing that it was already part of his plan. When they neared her old house he stopped on the corner of her street and asked her to step outside with him to call his dad. Adam was reaching in his pocket to get what Michi thought was his phone to call his dad when she said "Aww, babe! This is exactly where you asked me to be your girlfriend 13 years ago" Adam responded with "I know, and speaking of that, I'd like to ask you another question" and got down on one knee, opening the box that held an engagement ring and asked "Will you be my wife?" Adam and Michi happened to get engaged on a Thursday.
