Since the beginning my dad has always said to me “you’re going to see the one and just know they're the one”. Surprise, surprise...pops was right (as usual). Austin and I met Sunday, May 24th 2020. I had been invited to his grandmas house for a bbq by his mom and older brother (s/o to Shelly and Brayden). Austin had just come home from studying in Texas at Masters Commission less than 2 weeks earlier. He walked through the front door and to say the least it was love at first sight! We spent the entire day sitting next to each other and exchanging glances…pretty sure everyone knew we were smitten from the start. Two days later I was at work when I turned around and saw (you guessed it) Austin standing there with a small present in his hand (moms homemade banana bread...s/o to Shelly once again). From that point on it was game over. I knew I had found the one I’d spend my life with. We spent the next year and a half serving at church and basically spending every moment we could together. In July 2021 Austin returned to Texas to continue his journey with Masters Commission and we have been long distance ever since. It’s been such an amazing opportunity for growth and has set a new level of commitment for us in our relationship. On Christmas Eve Austin came home and proposed to me infront of family and friends. It was a big YESSSS from me baby!! There is not one moment of our story I would change or do differently. It has been the craziest and best 2 years ever!!! We are so excited to see God's plan unfold for our lives. We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
