Dana and Mike first met at a Thai restraunt, in Delray Beach called Ziree Thai. After some online courting on the website "Plenty of fish", they decided it was only fitting to meet over sushi. Once a dozen items were ordered, and fully eaten with clean plates, they both knew this pairing could have some potential. They connected right away and continued the night talking for hours together at a whiskey bar down the street.

Once they became "official", Mike knew it was time to have a very important conversation. He shared with her that he truly saw a long term future together, and asked her how she saw her future, because he had always planned to eventually relocate back to Pennsylvania, but wanted to do that together and needed to know where she stood. He was elated that she felt the same way and was completely open to starting a life together anywhere! So thats what they did :-)

On a sunny day on August 22, 2023 Mike invited Dana to lunch on his break from work but unbeknownst to Dana that day would be forever one of the best days of her life! While enjoying their delicious lunch Mike casually mentioned he wanted to go to a local arboretum near the restaurant to walk around and to look at the flowers. Knowing how much Mike likes to do random adventures especially if it includes being outside, Dana didn't think much of it and was not suspicious of this at all. When they arrived at the arboretum Dana noticed you needed tickets to enter which Mike mentioned he already purchased and immediately grabbed a map. Little did Dana know Mike was using this map to find the perfect place to propose!

Still none the wiser, as they continued walking around the garden Dana was acting like it was a normal day having normal conversation discussing things they need at the grocery store and what she plans to pack for their trip to the shore that weekend. As Dana kept talking Mike interrupted her and said let's stop planning an enjoy the moment we are in now. Dana agreed and they stopped in area that had a "secret garden" type door with and arch that had a plaque to explain the uniques of this area of the garden. As normal Dana didnt care much about reading the plaque and wanted to continue their walk where as normal Mike wanted to read the plaque and soak up all the information he could, because this is where Mike decided he wanted to propose. Mike had to think fast of way to convince Dana to stop walking and stay at this certain spot. So he asked Dana to hold his keys in her fanny pack for him. Dana thought this was a little bit of a weird request but she proceeded to put them in her bag. When she looked back up, she saw that Mike had kneeled down. It was in this moment that Mike recited some thoughtful words, culminating in asking for Danas hand in marriage. Dana was absolutely elated but also shocked, so before she could even say "yes" she kept repeatively asking Mike if he was joking. After what probably felt like the 10th time Mike said no I'm not joking. Dana said YES !
