We are SO excited to celebrate the start of our marriage with you and feel so lucky to be surrounded by our family and friends. Whether local, traveling from afar, or cheering us on from a distance, we are very grateful for your love and support. It has been a very tough couple years for the world and we have tried to be mindful and considerate in our planning. We want this weekend to feel like a breath of fresh air (literally and figuratively) that leaves you with a pep in your step and a smile on your face. Most important, though, is everyone's health and safety. We have taken steps to make our wedding weekend a safe and comfortable environment. All events will be held OUTSIDE, and tents will be utilized if needed due to the weather. We hope you have fun! Love, Rachel and Mike
Rachel and Mike were set-up by one of Rachel's closest friends, Sam, and her husband, Adam. It took Mike a year, but he finally texted Rachel. After exchanging a few texts, they decided to meet at Mizner Park on April 4, 2019. Sam and Adam, and Mike's business partner, Aaron, and his wife, Gabrielle, "just so happened" to be there on the same night, and figured they would "drop by". Although a first date with friends who know you best is comparable to bringing your family along, the first date led to a second, and the rest, as they say, is history...
After dating for about a year and a half, Rachel and Mike began living together in October 2020 when Rachel and her dog, Remi, moved in with Mike and his kids, Cara (10) and Zach (7). Of course, Cara and Zach loved having Remi around from the start:) In November 2021, Mike asked Rachel to marry him and they announced their engagement to the kids a couple days later. Cara's enthusiastic "You're getting married!!" and Zach's ear to ear smile were the best reactions they could have asked for! Mike, Rachel, Cara, Zach and Remi love taking walks together and having family dance parties.
