Olivia's version: I think most of you know by now that this is actually an arranged marriage. Our parents met and became close friends and Michael met my family before he even met me. After meeting Michael, my mom promptly said, "I have a daughter your age, she has a GREAT personality, you'd love her!" I have no idea why she would say that, but she did. He didn't think much of it, and assumed I was overweight and ugly because my mom only mentioned my personality. As most of you know, my mom is also not subtle at all and proceeded to send me pictures of Michael talking about how she wanted us to meet for a whole year before we finally met. We stayed friends for year and kept in touch here and there. Then, one weekend, we spent a whole day on the beach together and I realized I've never had more fun with someone in my entire life. We realized we wanted the same things in life and neither of us could deny the strong feeling we felt for each other. I prayed that night asking God to guide me if this was truly the man for me. The next morning I woke up with complete clarity, and I knew from that day on that I would marry him. The rest is history <3 Michael's version: It all started years ago... I actually met Livvy's parents a year before I met her. Our families quickly became close, and then, a year later, I finally met Livvy. I still remember the first time I met her like it was yesterday. It was on the beach in Flagler, I was walking down the boardwalk to join our families when she walked up and introduced herself. Fast forward about an hour, and I noticed that everyone had headed back to the house, but Livvy and I stayed out on the beach, talking and getting to know each other for the rest of the afternoon. In that moment, I realized I had met someone I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. To this day, it’s still one of the best days of my life. I even remember telling my mom that night that I knew I was going to marry her. From that day forward, I always knew it was her. She’s my best friend, the one who inspires me to be a better man, and she makes me want to be the best version of myself. I am forever grateful for that day we spent together on the beach, and I thank God every day for leading me to the woman of my dreams.
