Question
Will there be transportation for wedding guests to the ceremony and reception?
Answer
Unfortunately, there will not be transportation available for guests to Sonnenberg. We are, however, offering transportation from the local hotel blocks in the area to the reception as well as during the evening throughout specified hours! There is also the option of ride share in the area.

What is the dress code?
Answer
Dress code for the wedding will be semi-formal! Ladies, feel free to pick out your favorite heels, floral dresses or jumpsuits. Gentlemen, pick out your favorite dress shirt and tie. I'm sure if needed, the ladies will help you with complementing colors! Plan on dressing for an outside wedding, but add in some layers if needed! We will say that the outside tent at NY Kitchen can be windy by the water, so feel free to bring those layers if needed!

Are all guests invited to the welcome dinner?
Answer
Yes! We would love to see as many of you as we can during the pre-celebration. We want to spend as much time with everyone as we can to show our appreciation!

Will children be allowed at the wedding?
Answer
This will be an adult only wedding, although feel free to bring the kids to the welcome dinner for play time and food!

What happens in the event of rain?
Answer
The ceremony will be located outside, but in the event of rain it will be moved to a tent location. We would still recommend bringing an umbrella if rain ends up being in the forecast. For the reception, this will be located outside in a covered tent, but there is an uncovered walk way to the cocktail room and dance floor (which is located inside with AC)!

What should we do in between the ceremony and reception time gap?
Answer
We know that it is probably an inconvenience to have a gap in the times! Weather permitting, Sonnenberg has beautiful gardens to tour. Also feel free to check out the lake side of Canandaigua including Kershaw Park. There is a bar and brewery within walking distance of New York Kitchen too! New York Kitchen bar area and cafe will also be open if you would like to grab something before cocktail hour begins!

What is the parking situation?
Answer
Great question! New York Kitchen offers free parking (even overnight) parking in their lot. They share the lot with Hotel Canandaigua guests as well. Usually there is plenty of parking in the lot. Please DO NOT park overnight on the streets of Canandaigua as they will ticket you! If you prefer to do so you can park in the hotels listed on the hotel blocks and grab the transportation from there as well!
