Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

No there is absolutely no parking at the wedding venue. The only way to get to/from the venue is through the transportation that we will be providing. Please refer to the next FAQ for all of the transportation details. Please plan ahead!

What are the transportation arrival and departure locations/times?

Answer

Pickup Times: Bus 1 - 3pm: FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES BY MARRIOTT SOMERSET 602 Grand Army of the Republic Highway, Somerset, MA 02726 BUS 2 - 3pm: HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS & SUITES SWANSEA, 1400 Grand Army of the Republic Highway, Swansea, MA 02777 BUS 3 - 3:30pm: COMMUTER PARK AND RIDE 1701 Wilbur Ave, Somerset, MA 02725 Departure Times: 9:30pm (early departure) - Both hotels & park and ride 10:30pm - Both hotels & park and ride 10:30pm - Commuter Park & Ride and then to the after party/Portside Tavern (444 Thames St, Bristol, RI 02809). ** Please note - transportation will not be provided home from the after party our recommendation is to have Uber/Lyft ride scheduled.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Coastal Formal. Women are encouraged to wear a dress or jumpsuit, and men are encouraged to wear a suit or sports jacket with a tie. Our wedding will be held on the lawn in the backyard of a private residence. Ladies please keep this in mind when making your shoe choice. Something with a thicker heel will work best!

Are kids invited?

Answer

This will be an adults only event with the exception of the children in our wedding party. While we love all of your little ones, we want all parents to be able to relax and enjoy themselves. Thank you for understanding!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Yes, if you received a plus one, you will have "2 reserved seats in your honor" on your wedding invitation!

Where is the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held in the backyard of Madison's father's childhood home at 1488 Gardners Neck Rd, Swansea, MA.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting the ceremony and cocktail hour will be taking place outdoors. The reception will be taking place underneath a tent.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Please bring cash if you wish to tip the bartenders.

Is the transportation provided wheel chair accessible?

Answer

No, the buses being used for transportation are school buses and are not wheel chair accessible. Those that will require a wheel chair may be dropped off at the venue!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We are opting for an unplugged wedding ceremony, meaning no pictures/videos other than our photographers. However, we encourage any and all pictures during the cocktail hour/reception!

When is check in for the hotels?

Answer

Check in for both of the hotels is at 3pm. Early check in is NOT guaranteed. Please keep this in mind if you are coming in on the day of the wedding, as bus pickups from the hotels is at 3pm.
