Just a month after graduating college, we met on the dating app "Tinder." Michael messaged me and asked "How's your summer been?" and it took off from there. Our first date, Michael picked me up in the Jeep and we had a picnic with Panera takeout, on Ball State's Campus. We covered politics, religion, and every crucial topic on our first date. Michael told me his favorite color was sunset orange. It was love at first conversation.. and sight. I knew the moment I met Michael he was my soulmate. We wish we could relive our first date just about every day. -Jenny
Jenny and I shopped for rings in February and I purchased the ring in May. I planned the proposal at Newfield's Art Museum, a place that had meaning to our relationship. We had gone on dates here to celebrate special occasions. One of my favorite occasions was when we went Newfield's to see the lights with my family during the holidays. The day of the proposal, I told Jen I was golfing and asked Ruthie to take her to the museum for a sister date. Jen had her suspicions so I left our apartment in golf clothes and left my phone at home so she couldn't track my location. I arrived to Newfield's and set up at the pond inspired by Jen's favorite artist, Monet. I had our picnic basket, rose petals, and letters that spelled "Marry Me." Jenny had it figured out by the time she got to me and came around the corner in tears before she even saw me. I got down on one knee and asked her "Jenny Louise will you marry me?" - Michael
