Question

Fun local activities?

Answer

-Horsetooth Res is a great place to recreate if you want to have a beach day or rent paddle boards. Just ask and I can provide you with further information. -There is an abundance of local hiking and biking trails. They range from easy to difficult and I would love to make recommendations as well. -Fort Collins has been (and might still be) the brewery capital of the nation. There are many that are kid friendly and absolute gems to enjoy on a nice day. O'dells and New Belgium are big names, but there are smaller and just as lovely ones such as Hello Brewery and Stodgy's.

Question

Fun semi-local activities?

Answer

-Rocky Mountain National Park is a quick 1-hour drive from town. Estes Park is a great place to grab a burger and beer. Highly recommended the drive up and over Trail Ridge Road. -Just north of town is the Poudre Canyon. It is a stunning 1.5 hour drive up to Cameron Pass. My go-to hike in that area is Lake Agnes which is a tough but short hike (3/4 mile) up to a lake situated in what is called the NOKU crag. -Just south of town is Loveland and Berthoud. Loveland has several nice easy hikes as well as a quaint winery (Sweetheart Winery). And Berthoud is home to a TPC golf course.

Question

Lodging?

Answer

This is a college town, so VRBO/Air BnB book up quickly. There are some adorable old bungalows listed for rent, but renter beware, many places here do not have A/C so double check before booking.

Question

Parking for the BBQ?

Answer

Our local friends are encouraged to bike, but for those that can't, there is parking along Cherry St on both sides of that road.

Question

Registry?

Answer

We are asking that you not send or bring gifts. Your presence and/or well wishes is all that we want.
