Question
What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
Answer
The dress code for our wedding is country cocktail! Ladies should wear cocktail dresses/jumpsuits and men should wear nice jeans with button ups. Everyone should wear their cowboy boots (although not required). Think 'Sunday church clothes with a country twist'! Cowboy hats and bolo ties are encouraged! *Please avoid t-shirts, ripped pants, flip flops, casual wear*

What will the weather be like this time of year?
Answer
This is Colorado so anything can happen! Historically, it's very hot while the sun is up but will get pretty chilly once the sun goes down. Please bring a jacket in case of chillier weather - we will have coat area if you don't end up needing it.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
Answer
The ceremony and reception are taking place on the same property! Once Upon a Time Events is located in Kiowa off Highway 86. Please see our 'Schedule' tab or invitation for the exact address and map.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
We plan on having the ceremony outside at the ceremony site, and the reception will be both inside the barn and outside on the patio. Remember, this is Colorado, so if the weather has other plans, we will move the ceremony inside if needed.

What happens after the ceremony?
Answer
After the ceremony, the bride and groom will be taking pictures with immediate family for about 30 minutes. All other guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving finger foods and adult beverages.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?
Answer
Yes! We will have a welcome party on Thursday night for anyone who has traveled out of state or is in town for the wedding. There is also a day after brunch being held to anyone who wants to attend. Please see our 'Schedule' tab for specific times and addresses.

What should I do if I can’t make it?
Answer
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive 30-45 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Where should guests park?
Answer
Guests should follow the parking signs as they make their way onto the property. Parking will be very easy to find.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
We will only have the bridal party children in attendance for our wedding. While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

RSVP deadline is August 6th. Save the mailing stuff and RSVP on this website under our 'RSVP' tab!

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?
Answer
Yes! We will have drinks from your arrival until 11:00pm last call. We will have finger foods and a full dinner served.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Please list your food accommodations on your RSVP. If there is nothing listed and you have restrictions, we cannot promise we will have an option for you.

Where are you registered?
Answer
We do not have a traditional registry since we have already lived together for a long time as a family. We are in the process of remodeling our home and if you are wanting to gift us with anything, we would love to accept any Lowes, Home Depot, etc. gift card to help us on our renovation journey.

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?
Answer
Yes! The shuttle will be departing ________hotel at 3:45pm and will be returning any guests back to the hotel at 11pm.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
Answer
Please refrain from having your phone out during our ceremony as we would like everyone to be present and for our photography to capture everything perfectly. After the ceremony, however, feel free to take all the photos! If you post on social media, make sure to tag us!
