Vibes are immaculate. Have a stop in the hotel bar, San Morello, for a drink and dinner. Mike asked Alli to marry him at Shinola, so we find it to be romantic. Perhaps you and yours will too!

Queens Bar Detroit
A stone’s throw away from the venue, Queens Bar can be a quiet place to grab a drink or a hustling, bustling spot—depends on the day.
Avalon Café and Bakery
Mike and Alli’s favorite bakery and coffee spot. This was where Alli and Mike had their first “date” at. They soon became regulars and would stop in for a sandwich and a warm cup of coffee. Mike was know by name, Alli was known as “Mike’s girlfriend.”
Bronx Bar
Their black bean burger and juke box are simply unmatched (you’re welcome). This place used to be a block from Mike’s old apartment AND Alli’s apartment. Alli and Mike never bumped into each other there (as far as they both remember—the PBRs made things fuzzy)
Willis Show Bar
Live music; sometimes burlesque. Leave the kids at home, sip a cocktail or two.
The Ghostbar at the Whitney
Have a cocktail at this haunted bar inside the Whitney. On a night out with Alli, Mike convinced the owner to let him play the baby grand piano here.
The Old Miami
A quintessential midwestern dive bar; the Old Miami is a midtown Detroit staple. Come and enjoy the smell of spilt beer or their backyard patio! Fun fact: In 2016, the first ever known sighting/interaction Mike and Alli had took place here (as pictured above)
Detroit Institute of Arts
One of Alli’s most favorite places. She spent many Friday nights at the drawing sessions while in undergrad and also at the DIA’s cafe (because dorm food was awful).

Detroit Jazz Festival
The Detroit Jazz Festival is a free jazz festival held every year during Labor Day Weekend at Hart Plaza and Campus Martius Park in Detroit, Michigan. Catch it while you’re in town for the wedding!

Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit
Embrace your inner hipster and enjoy some contemporary art at this very Bauhaus style museum. Another frequented haunt for Alli and Mike (actually, mostly Alli—but you probably already knew that)
Cliff Bell's
John Clifford Bell opened Cliff Bell’s in 1935. Originally a supper club, the bar featured a lush art-deco atmosphere including vaulted ceilings and a solid mahogany bar. The club experienced its heyday during the fifties and continued throughout the late sixties. This is the place to sit back, relax and listen to jazz as your transport back in time.
