How we met

We were family friends, but re-met at Seth's family fireworks stand, Big Brooks, in 2023. Michaela was scheduled to work a lot, coincidently. Thanks to his mom, we got to know each other during the week of 4th of July, and on the 4th Seth asked Michaela what she was better at, golf or bowling and she said mini golf and he said okay we will go bowling and Michaela said okay. We ended up playing soccer golf. We stayed out late playing different competitions at the practice hole and going out for ice cream afterwards. A couple outings later, on July 28th, Seth had dinner with Michaela's family and asked her dad if he could date her, he said yes and the rest is history.

How he proposed

Michaela's side of the story

We went up to Colorado for the weekend, a trip we had planned since the beginning of the summer, so I didn't think anything of it. I stayed with a friend of Seth's, Anna Sconyers, in her apartment, and Seth car camped. On the way up there he asked me what I wanted to do and I said I wanted to try the Manitou incline. So we got in late Friday night and the plan for Saturday was to go do the incline look around Manitou, and then go hike up to Beaver lake. It took us awhile to get on the road and we were running behind so we did the incline and Seth was disappointed, saying we didn't have enough time to look around Manitou. I suggested we move the Beaver lake hike to tomorrow and he quickly shot it down giving some excuse. We stopped and changed into different clothes because Seth said he wanted to match and we were off, on our way to Beaver Lake. We got there and hiked up to the top. On the way, Seth played Proverbs 31 and when we got to the top, Seth suggested we go to the other side of the lake so we did, then he said he needed to go pee and so I turned around looking at the lake and I thought to myself this would be a pretty place to be proposed to. He came back from "peeing" and he started talking to me and saying nice things to me, saying how blessed he is to have me and how much he feels he can trust me, then he got down on one knee and said "with that being said, will you marry me?" and I said "wait, seriously? sure!" and he got up and hugged me and told me that there was a photographer in the woods and I was in shock and I couldn't believe what had just happened. He put the ring on my finger.
