Laya is Michaela's first cousin. Michaela and Laya have stuck together from a young age as they were the only girl cousins in their family. They've always been there for each other from childhood memories to adult adventures.

John met Chance during his first year at FHSU. They lived in the same dorm together and they have been involved in multiple collegiate activities together. They even took a school trip to Denmark together.
