We do not expect to be able to see or hear any of you, as we will be shooting with an iphone camera, but hopefully you all are able to pop in and catch our special moment! We also intend to record the zoom meeting so feel free to leave us any messages you want us to see in the chat window. You will be muted with no video upon joining the zoom. Please keep it this way so everyone can see us on their screen and hear what we’re saying. The officiant does have little microphones we can wear so you should hopefully be able to hear us. There’s no test run for this and it could be windy so our apologies in advance if it’s not perfect. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Zoom, it is very easy. You should be able to watch the ceremony from a computer, tablet or smart phone. That said, computer is the preferred method if you are unfamiliar. If you would like to use your phone, you will need to download the zoom app. If you use your computer, you’re not required to download anything.

Cory had bought the ring. Now all he needed was the perfect proposal plan. Knowing Michaela, the next vacation wasn't far off. What he didn't know was that it would be the perfect destination for a proposal - THE TUNNEL OF LOVE in Ukraine. Talk about luck. The rest should be easy, right? What could possibly go wrong? He had the perfect location built into a vacation that MICHAELA chose. Fast forward to 10/11/18: After spending 3hrs in an Uber to the remote town of Rivne, DISASTER STRUCK. Their debit cards weren't working. A BIG PROBLEM because the only way to get to the Tunnel was local taxis which only accepted cash. For the next 5hrs, Cory "played it cool" while COMPLETELY FREAKING OUT inside (Michaela later said she knew something was up because he was handling this surprisingly well). This was supposed to be the big day! They only had the accommodations in this town for 1 night! How was he supposed to propose at the Tunnel of Love if he couldn't pay a driver to take him there?! After some time, things were finally starting to look up. Michaela was able to get cash, and they decided to extend their stay and go to the Tunnel the following day. The next morning on October 12th, they were finally on their way. Cory had come up with a simple yet effective way to hide the ring on him to alleviate any concern that he might lose it. A plan that might have worked if he wasn't already COMPLETELY LOSING IT from the prior day. After arriving at the Tunnel with a backpack full of camera gear and the ring in his pocket (he knows, he's checked over 100 times at this point), Cory was ready to propose. Sadly, Michaela didn't know about Cory's plan, and for the NEXT 3 HOURS, they hiked 3 miles in and ALMOST all the way out before he convinced her to slow down. Finally, they stopped and set up the camera. In the middle of a video, Cory got down on one knee to ask her to be his travel partner (for better or worse) for the rest of her life and (eventually) Michaela said YES!
