Kestae and Mya's relationship began before they had even been born. Their moms were best friends and had the girls just two weeks apart. From the very start, Kestae and Mya were always best friends. They stumbled through childhood together finding their fun with matching outfits, freeze dance parties, round table discussions about that year's hottest pop stars, and their membership in the ever exclusive "Be Yourself Club" hosted in Mya's bedroom closet. Mya describes growing up with Kestae as one of her life's greatest honors, and she is even more grateful for their relationship now. She also did the fun illustrations that you see on our website, the save the dates, and invitations! This wedding has already been blessed immensely by her talent and Maid of Honor skills!

Kalee Wilkins

Bridesmaid

Kalee and Mya met in high school. Their connection wasn't instant, but as their older friends graduated and they were the last two girls from their friend group left in town, they became inseparable. Kalee is Mya's go-to friend for all things fun and wild. Their adventures together will go down in history, including being each other's prom dates, befriending strangers while out dancing, girls trips to NYC, Doordashing together to fund matching tattoos, sneaking into Canada (ask either of them about this story for a good laugh), and so many more. Not only is Kalee the perfect friend for a good adventure, she is also fiercely loyal and has a relationship with Jesus that has inspired Mya to grow just by observing it.

Chandlyr Nielsen

The eldest of Mya's little sisters. Chandlyr is an absolute bombshell with a secret weapon being her kind heart. Her love of beauty extends beyond the latest fashion trends, as she is able to bring out the beauty in others, inside and out. Mya holds much love for Chandlyr and feels incredibly grateful to have her by her side for this wedding, and most importantly, for life.

Autumn and Mya met freshman year of college. Mya was still exploring her school and wasn't inclined to put down roots in any friendships just yet, but Autumn was determined to see to it that they became friends. Obviously, Mya is now very grateful for Autumn's diligence, as they have become great friends and roommates over the years. Autumn is loyal, honest, and so supportive. She can be Mya's greatest source of accountability and her greatest cheerleader at the very same time. She sees loads of value in investing her relationships with those in her life, and is so faithful in her service to God.

Madison McCoy

Madison and Mya met through Cru in middle school. Although they have never been at the same school and rarely in the same city, Maddi has always been a special friend to Mya. She is wise beyond her years, an incredibly intentional friend, and a girl after God's own heart. Maddi and Mya can often be found giggling together or tumbling down a slope of grass, and just being a general annoyance to those around them. Prepare yourselves to make way for Maddi's moves on the dance floor.

Evyn Nielsen

Mya's little sister. If you know Evyn, you know that to be around her is to laugh and see the world from a more wholesome perspective. She knows what is important in life, she holds these things close, and the rest simply does not phase her. She is incredibly kind and sees the best in everyone she encounters! Everyone attending will be lucky to be around this sweet sweet girl!

Skeeter Smith

Best Man

Skeeter and Micah met through Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) in high school. They both attended Florida Atlantic University and became roommates. Skeeter and his family (the Smiths) graciously invited Micah to live with them in Orlando during holidays and summer breaks. Micah and Skeeter became close friends through their mutual love of God, sports, video games, and anime. Skeeter has been a blessing to Micah as a friend and has shown him firsthand the impact that loving one’s neighbor as himself can have on both individuals and communities of people. Skeeter is kind, selfless, humorous, and an athletic specimen. He is married to Albany Alexander, the older sister of the Maid of Honor.

Tate Kollar

Groomsman

Tate and Micah met their freshman year of high school at football practice. They became good friends and even joined the tennis team together their junior year, despite being terrible at the sport. Tate invited Micah to the weekly Cru meetings at Lake Nona High School, which played a pivotal role in Micah making his Christian faith his own. Micah is also forever grateful to Tate’s family (the Kollars) who always welcomed Micah into their home and demonstrated to him the joy, laughter, and hospitality of the Lord. Tate is kind, intelligent, and conscientious.

Wesley Nielsen

Groomsman

Wesley is Mya’s older brother! He is very social, energetic, and well respected by everyone in his life. Wesley loves telling stories, playing games, and anything that brings people together. He and his wife, Lauren, have a heart for ministry and serve as missionaries for Youth With a Mission (YWAM). Wesley is devoted to the Lord and delights in sharing his faith with others. He excels in his roles as husband, brother, leader, and friend.

Thomas Rhodes

Groomsman

Thomas and Micah met their freshman year at Florida Atlantic University, and they have been close friends ever since. They have very similar senses of humor, and share a love of movies, music, video games, and late night fast food runs. They can always make each other laugh, regardless of the circumstance. Thomas has also been an important influence on Micah spiritually. He has particularly shown him the value of patience and laughter, especially during difficult moments in life. Thomas is funny, loyal, and dedicated to what he is passionate about.

Jeremy Jackson

Jeremy and Micah met in high school through Cru. They quickly became friends and both attended Florida Atlantic University, where Jeremy led their intramural co-ed flag football team to a zero win season. Jeremy is Micah’s favorite Florida Gator fan, and they have many interests in common. Jeremy is a very hard working and dedicated man who has shown Micah the importance of responsibility and family values.

Jacob Jackson

Groomsman

Jacob and Micah met through Cru in high school and later became roommates. They are close friends and have many interests in common, but particularly enjoy talking over whiskey and cigars. Jacob is a strong believer, and an incredibly hard worker. He has influenced Micah to become more disciplined in every area of his life. Jacob is perhaps the most loyal person you will ever meet. He is also wise, kind, funny, and drops something at least once a day. Jacob will unfortunately not be able to be with us at the wedding, because he is just too smart and his professors couldn't stand the thought of losing him for some time. He is still honored as a groomsman and will be there in our hearts.

Mya's youngest sister. Brooklyn is sweet and loveable, and as sassy as they come. Giving her second wedding party performance in as many years, make way for her to strut down the aisle!

Mya and Kae were connected through Mya's mom who helped Kae and her husband find their house. Kae has been an absolute angel in her efforts to make this wedding possible. Micah and Mya are so excited for you all to meet her and watch her shine!
