We're Getting Married!

Looking back to August of 2008 brings the memories of their first meeting. Riding the school bus together and seeing each other for the first time (Miah wasn't paying attention since she is NOT a morning person) and coming to...... ANNOY MIAH SO BADLY. If Mike were to tell the story, he would say that that was the day he fell in love. If you ask Miah, she would probably say she was half asleep and he was too loud on the bus for no reason! Over the years, from high school, growing up through C.A.E., to seeing each other in passing in college, 11 years passed with very little communication. They would hang out every so often, but the timing was never right for either of them. Mike had even told her that he would marry her one day, though she laughed it off. On July 6th, 2019, they met for wings and to catch up. As they talked, Miah invited Mike out to Pennsylvania for a job opportunity with C.A.E. that she felt would greatly benefit him. July 19th was the day that the Lord truly began to speak and reveal some of the plans He has for them. God kept revealing throughout that day that Mike had spent with her and her parents all of the things that she had prayed and asked Him for in a husband. He reminded her of the confession Mike had said to her back in 2013, "You're going to be my wife someday". In that moment, the Lord affirmed that "He is your husband," and "You've prayed for a fairy tale, so I have crafted one for you because I love you". As the invite for a job interview turned into a tour of the city and then into dinner with Miah's parents, that day turned into a weekend of God pouring His love over them. Continuously sending confirmation as He allowed them to begin to heal from past hurts to be able to truly appreciate what He was doing in their lives helped them make the choice to be obedient to His will. Allowing love to bloom and God to lead them as they take their steps into their purpose together toward marriage, they walk towards their fairy tale.
