One of our most memorable dates! In 2021, we rode city bikes along this trail to visit the 8 Mission Portals. Stephen even had an electric bike, and Karen still left him in the dust. We got caught in the rain. The resulting flood washed out the trail, separating us from our car so we had to take an Uber back to the parking lot! But the day ended with tacos from Taquitos West Ave. near Stephen's house, as pictured above. :) The 8-mile Mission Reach Paddling Trail flows from just south of Downtown San Antonio through over 400 acres of restored riparian habitat and is bordered by 15 miles of hike and bike trails, City parks, County Parks, and San Antonio Missions National Historical Park.
