We're Getting Married!

Carolyn and Ben met on a Saturday night at a wine bar in San Diego. Ben and his buddies were hanging out at the wine bar, chatting and enjoying their wine. They hadn't been there long when Ben's friend tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Hey, check out that blonde over there". Ben turned and saw a blue-eyed, drop-dead gorgeous gal chatting with her friend. Ben had no idea he was about to meet his future wife! He moved over to sit as close as possible to the gals but he couldn't figure out how to break the ice. He decided to get up and grab a second glass of wine. As he got up, he bumped into the gals' table which caused the table to jerk. Ben said, "That wasn't the wine... that was just my big butt!" This was the ice-breaker he needed because he got a good laugh out of both of them. They exchanged names and had a little chit-chat. Before leaving the wine bar, Ben asked for Carolyn's number. He decided to play hard to get and waited a whole 30 minutes after they said goodbye to text her. Carolyn was excited and impressed to hear from him right away; Ben was excited that she hadn't given him a fake number! They set up a date for the next weekend, and have been together ever since.

Carolyn and Ben got engaged at one of their favorite local spots, Bernardo Winery. With Carolyn being intuitive and the planner of the couple, Ben had to make sure he was strategic with not appearing to be planning the evening in order to really surprise her with the proposal. Ben invited their friends to join the evening at the winery to support execution of his plan. He told the group he wanted to get Carolyn to a specific place at the winery right at sunset. Having no clue that Ben was preparing to propose, Carolyn was just excited to be hanging out with all their friends and wanted to walk around the vineyard, go to the tasting room, and basically go everywhere but where Ben needed her to be. With a lot of teamwork, the group was able to get Carolyn to the right spot at sunset. The moment arrived and Ben and Carolyn were "posing" for a picture when he got down on one knee. Ben achieved the impossible; he surprised Carolyn and it was a special and magical night!
