Maid of Honor
Laura and I met day one of Freshman year at La Tech from being suite-mates in the infamous Harper Hall. Despite living in a less than favorable dorm situation, we became best friends (more like sisters) over our mutual love of South Louisiana. We ended up rooming together for the rest of college and gathered a lifetime of crazy/embarrassing stories. During college, people would say "wherever you see Meredith, Laura isn't far behind" since we did everything together. Laura is the friend that will tell me the hard truth when I need to hear it, has been my friend through good and bad, and is always willing to help me plan the most epic celebrations. No one better to be my Maid-of-Honor!
Best Man
Scotty is my older and uglier brother (kidding, kidding!!). Not everyone stays close to their siblings into adulthood, but I can say that Scotty is still one of my favorite people in the world. A time that I will always cherish with Scotty is the 3 1/2 month period that I worked close to Scotty, which allowed us to get lunch together almost daily. While we were growing up, we got to work for our dad during the summers, and the two summers I got to work with Scotty are days that I will always remember. Looking back at those times makes me glad to have such an awesome older brother. As a kid I wanted to do what Scotty did and I ended up doing it better :P. Scotty is intelligent, an awesome dad, and the greatest best man I could ask for.
Bridesmaid
One of my earliest memories with ChloeBeth is probably us in 1st grade Sunday School when she was showing the class that she could write her name in cursive. Even from an early age, she has demonstrated knowledge and wisdom beyond her years, which eventually landed her as "Most Likely to Succeed" our senior year of high school. CB has been around for awkward middle school days, car rides to and from high school where we listened to the same Alan Jackson CD daily, and teaching me how to two-step in college. ChloeBeth is a wise, true to herself, and a Christ-like friend. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding 4 years ago, so it is a joy of mine to have her in my wedding!
Groomsman
Josh is my first cousin and the little brother of John Luke. Josh is my go to buddy to play video games with, especially since he is so easy to beat at Mario Party. Josh also provides Meredith with motivation to get better at Mario Party, so one day she can beat him at that too. Some of my favorite vacations include the ones with the McCain family and that's mainly because of Josh and John Luke. While at the time, they were the young ones of the family, it is awesome to see us stay so close into our adulthood. I have watched Josh grow into a fine young man (both in character and in looks, lol). Josh is kind, dependable, fun to be around. He is also super smart and has a bright future ahead of him.
Bridesmaid
Susanna and I met in the summer of 2017 when we worked on the same team at Pine Cove Camp in the City. We realized we were the only two people on the team from Louisiana so we quickly stuck together. She and I are such kindred spirits from our old souls and love of all things classy. We ended up working two summers together at Pine Cove and stayed in touch all throughout college. I found any excuse to go visit her in Baton Rouge and even got to stay with her and her family one summer when I was an intern there. I was in Susanna's wedding last December, and we got to share the last name Nichols for 11 months (even though I'm not related to her husband). Susanna is one of the most caring, gentle-spirited, and sweet people you will ever meet.
Groomsman
John Luke is Walker's first cousin and the older brother of Josh. He has been a built in friend to me for 24-years of my life. An iconic memory of John Luke from childhood is his focused video game face, where his eyes would get big and his tongue would stick out to one side. I have aimed to be a positive role-model to my cousins and I can tell I've influenced him in the facial hair department, haha. He is a very determined young man who devotes his whole life into things he cares about, whether that is sports, fitness, or beating Walker in video games. I am proud of the man he has become and am so happy to have him by my side.
Bridesmaid
I do not remember a day where Chloe was not my friend, since we became friends in November of '98 when she was born. Our friendship was actually destined from generations back. We love to claim our title of distant cousins (2nd cousins 4 times removed to be exact), and it is wonderful to realize that it is from our grandparents friendship, then our parents friendship that has given us the opportunity to be friends. From riding the bus together in elementary, to singing in highschool choir, and then getting to be a bridesmaid in Chloe's wedding, she is a friend that will last for decades to come. Chloe is kind-hearted, loves the Lord, and is an encourager- all reasons that I'm thrilled to have her as a bridesmaid.
Groomsman
Dalton is my second cousin, so I can say that he has been around for many stages of my life. Some of my earliest memories with Dalton include us playing Dalton's drum set all weekend (and keeping everyone up) when I stayed the night with his family. Since we are the same age and grew up near each other, that allowed us to play against each other in sports. In football, he was the center and I was the nose guard, so we got to hit each other all night. Dalton and I then went to LA Tech at the same time which allowed us to run into each other often and stay in touch. I am happy to have him as a cousin, a friend, and a groomsmen.
Bridesmaid
Erin and I became friends in 2021 through a bible study and she has quickly become one of my best friends. Erin and I love to sing in church choir together, to go "gallivanting" all over town, and to reminisce about early 2000's Christian music. Something about Erin is her generosity- she often has a baked good or a little treat in her hand to give to someone. Erin is the kind of friend that always boosts your mood just from her excitement. She and I share tons of inside jokes and we laugh 90% of the time we are around each other. She was one of the first people I told about Walker, and has been a great friend to both of us during our relationship!
Groomsman
Gary is Meredith's younger brother and is one of the most chill dudes you will ever meet. He isn't much of a talker but is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to all things George Strait. I have now gained an appreciation for country music from marrying into a family of old-country fans. When I met Gary for the first time, apparently he told Meredith after the fact that I was very well spoken; what a compliment! I am looking forward to years of heated games of Dutch Blitz against Gary and the Nichols family (if you know the Nichols, I'm sure they've taught you to play). I'm glad to have my new brother-in-law standing by my side.
Bridesmaid
Riley and I met through church college ministry in 2017, but our friendship really grew when we got to be roommates during grad-school. Being roommates with Riley was always an adventure-from being her guiney pig as she was learning speech therapy methods in grad-school, to having to kill any bug since she got scared, to listening to her shower jam sessions from across the house. I love having Riley around when I want to celebrate because the girl loves to dance and has great music taste! I actually caught the bouquet at Riley's wedding and Walker caught the garter there, so it was meant to be!
Groomsman
Zane and I first met at Franklin Academy but we didn't become good friends until he started working with me for my Dad. One of the best summers I've ever had was the summer of 2015, where I was determined to lose weight for the first time in my life. Zane was there day-1 helping me stay focused on my goal and not letting me stuff my face with food from Double D's next to Dixie Dandy (my Tensas people will know haha). That was Zane's last summer to work with me but we continued to maintain a strong friendship over the following years while I was still in college. Zane is a great friend and an amazing Dad to his two sons, and will continue to be with their 3rd child on the way. I am so proud of the man he has become today.
Bridesmaid
Brooke is my hype-girl!! She is the person I go to when I am excited and she celebrates me, when I am sad/nervous/overwhelmed and she encourages me, and when I need a workout partner and she keeps me company. Brooke and I met through church in college and the thing that really marks our friendship is the 2+ years that we have worked out together (even though we just talk most of the time, haha). Over these years, our friendship has become a place where either of us can talk for hours about what is going on in our lives and the other will provide a listening ear. Through our friendship, our dogs (Winston and Waylon) have even become best buddies! I was so excited to be a bridesmaid for Brooke last year, so it thrills me to have her in my wedding!!
Groomsman
Critty and I have been friends since childhood. His Dad and my dad were good friends back in the day so it was only natural we would become good friends as well. We both met from school at Franklin Academy and really became friends when the school started a Pee-Wee Football Program for 4th through 6th grade. We continued to play football together with his Dad being head coach and mine being an assistant. We also joined the golf team because who wouldn't want to skip school every Monday for 8 weeks and go play golf? He ended up being a lot better than me, though. We both went to LA Tech and graduated with our MBA's. We had many classes together so it was easy to maintain our friendship through those college years. Critty has always been someone I could go to with just about anything, whether it was about school or personal things. He is one of my best friends and I am so happy to have him with me on my wedding day.
Flower Girl
Charlotte is Walker's oldest niece and is one of the biggest Pokemon fans out there. She is also not afraid of trying new wrestling moves on her Uncle Walker. An iconic moment with Charlotte is when she first met Meredith, she stared her down and asked how Meredith spells her name, somewhat like Charlotte had never seen or heard that name before. We are thrilled to have her as one of our flower girls!
Flower Girl
Blair is Walker's youngest niece and Charlotte's little sister. She is without a doubt Scott Moore reincarnated. Even at five years old, she already has a great sense of humor and funny personality. She can pull a mean wrestling move on her Uncle Walker like her sister, but also loves to get her hair braided by Meredith. The Moore sisters will be the cutest flower girls you have ever seen!
Ring Bearer
Wyatt is the middle brother of Meredith's 3 little cousins. Wyatt was born just as I graduated from high school and has grown up to be an athletic, complimentary, and energetic kid. It will be so sweet to have Wyatt and Abel to be our ring bearers. And thankfully they won't actually be carrying the rings down the aisle, because we doubt they'd make it, haha!
Ring Bearer
Abel is Meredith's little cousin, and is the baby of the family. Although he is the smallest, has has such a big personality! It will warm anyone's heart to hear his sweet voice call me Sissy. We're excited to have Abel in our wedding, along with his brothers.
Usher
Gavin is my (Meredith's) little cousin, and it makes me proud to watch him grow up into the sweet kid that he is. Gavin just got to spend a week with me in Ruston where he came to VBS with me and I later tried to make a future bulldog out of him (as seen in the picture). I was in Gavin's parent's wedding as a junior bridesmaid when I was about his age, so it is a joy to now have him in my wedding.
Usher
Preston has been a friend of Meredith's from their church college ministry, and has then become a close friend of Walker as well. Anytime the friend group gets together at Preston's house, we are guaranteed to have some freshly baked cookies, play some Mario Kart, and have a good ole time. Preston is a dependable friend, and we are glad to have him as an usher on our big day!
Usher
Micah has also been a friend of Meredith's from their church college ministry and has now accepted Walker into the friend group like he's known him for life. Micah is known for his funny sayings and his love of Nascar. The friend group knows to not ask Micah to do anything on a Sunday afternoon during Nascar season, because Micah has plans lol. Micah is a committed friend that will be there for his people, so were glad to have him as an usher.
Guestbook Girl
Chloe is a family friend of Meredith's and before Chloe was born, her parents treated Meredith like she was their own. From watching Chloe grow up since the day she was born, she has become a talented, creative, and beautiful young lady. She and I have always been kindred spirits, and would often come up with elaborate stories or choreographed dances together. Last year, I helped decorate and plan a Bob Ross themed birthday party for Chloe. Some of the jewelry I will be wearing on the wedding day are Chloe's mom's, Wendy, so it means a lot to also have Chloe as a part of the wedding!
Guestbook Girl
Faith and I met the same week that Walker and I met, so when I think of Faith I think of such happy times. We met through a Young Adult ministry in Ruston and soon after met up for coffee. At the coffee shop is when I told Faith that I had a date planned with this guy named Walker just 3 days after. She was one of the first people to reach out to me after of first date to hear how it went, so I can say that Faith has been there from the start! Faith is a sweet and intentional friend, one where you know you can be good friends even from the first introduction. So glad to have her as a part of the big day!
