8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
No one's coming all the way to New York just to party for one day, right? Right. So, we’d like to invite any and all out of town guests to join us and our families at Fornino at Pier 6 from 8-10ish PM on Friday the 27th so that we can all say “Hi!” and hug before we get swept up in the energy of the big day. We’ll have some private space on their terrace, but they have a roof deck with mind-blowing skyline views as well as a full bar and pizza kitchen that takes cash and credit for all of us to enjoy. Also, it’s right next to the Brooklyn Ferry departure point. For those of you not used to constant train/car service/boat travel, here’s a low stakes opportunity to work out your wedding day travel maneuvers. Plus, more beers and pizza. (Psssssst. Locals. You’re totally invited as well!)
1:00 pm

Picnic Chic: Wear something comfortable but festive that lets you move! There will be grass so heel wearers be aware!
Join us on the historic Governors Island Parade grounds for our ceremony. Please let us know if you have any mobility concerns and will need assistance.
4:00 pm
We'll take the ferry together from Governor's Island to our reception where we'll keep the party going in one of our favorite neighborhoods in Brooklyn...Red Hook!
8:30 pm
Sadly, our wedding reception will end eventually. Well, not eventually. It ends in fact at 8:30. Happily, we don’t have to stop the celebration. Just around the corner (literally around the corner) from the Brooklyn Crab, sits a dive bar of legend. It is called Sunny’s, and they are expecting a gaggle of revelers bedecked in picnic chiquery at, oh that’s convenient, 8:30. It’s cash only - so, be prepared with some sweet skrilla or face the wrath of the ATM fee. But they do have cheap beer, an authentically crumbling seaside facade, a great little backyard garden, and live Bluegrass Music! So, let’s anticipate even more memory-making there. It’s open till 4 am cause New York rules.
