Congrats! You're invited to a really cool wedding

Dan had just finished a meh Tinder date, and as he was getting her an Uber (credit to him, true gentleman move), he got an unexpected call from an old college friend who was in town and wanted to drink. Dan gave details of where to meet. Meanwhile, across town (*Carrie Bradshaw voice*), Meredith was TGIF'ing with an upbeat group of work, college and city friends, about to embark on a happy hour turn-up. Basic living the dream kind of stuff. The night was May 17, 2014, the weather was finally turning, and the bar was Mother's Ruin. But the only thing that would be ruined is any possibility that Cupid's arrow would miss its target on this night (or that Dan & Meredith were going to make their separately planned bright-and-early Saturday morning workouts). They locked eyes from across the bar, formally met outside when Meredith asked Dan to take a photo of her and her friends, and the two loved each other from the start. To say the rest was history wasn't entirely true as dating in New York -- or anywhere for that matter -- is complicated as hell. But the universe had a grand vision for these two. Roughly a year later, they moved into an apartment in east Tribeca, a one-bedroom unit in which they still reside to this day (mostly because it has high ceilings and the biggest outdoor patio anyone has seen.) During quarantine, they added to the family -- a 7-year-old pit bull rescue named Sugar, which coincidentally (or not) is Dan's "pet" name for Meredith. It's rare the three of them are ever apart. , And now, Mom and Dad are making things official. We can't wait to spend this special day and night (and late night) with you.
