When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP through the link on this website by July 10, 2023. If you cannot attend, please indicate your regrets so we can plan accordingly.

What is the dress code?

We'd love to see our friends and family all dressed up for our big day in cocktail attire.
Question
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
Answer
Our ceremony will start at 5:30 p.m. on the roof of the Opera House. It will take a little while to park in the Opera House Parking Center, walk to the Madison Street entrance and head up to the roof, so we recommend an ETA near 5:00 p.m.

Is there parking available at the venue?
Answer
Yes! Please park at the Opera House Parking Garage (1426 Broadway St, Detroit, MI 48226) and take a ticket when you enter. Parking is free with a validated pass. Don't forget to grab one from an usher before you leave the event.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?
Answer
We are having an 'unplugged ceremony' (no phones or cameras). We've hired an incredible photographer to capture this moment for us, and we ask that you avoid taking pictures at that time. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Both the ceremony and after-dinner reception will take place outdoors on the Opera House's Sky Deck. But we'll head inside for cocktail hour and dinner in the Grand Lobby.

What type of food and drink will be served?
Answer
We are hosting a strolling dinner at our event, meaning there will be food stations for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour, and more substantial options during dinner. We will have meat and veggie choice and and a late night snack. And full bar and non-alcoholic beverages are on us! Please advise of any dietary restrictions via the RSVP link.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
Answer
We have hotel blocks with the Element Detroit at the Metropolitan as well as the Hilton Garden Inn Detroit. Please book via the links in the 'Travel' section of our website no later than July 17. There are several other hotel and AirBnb options to consider as well. Take a look at the travel tab and let us know if you'd like a recommendation!

Can I bring a date?

Our non-partnered friends and family are welcome to bring a guest. Please include your +1's name when RSVP-ing.

Can I bring my children?
Answer
We love your little ones! However, due to space constraints and safety restrictions, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event.
Question
When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?
Answer
We'll wrap up dancing at the Opera House by 11:00 p.m. and those who would like to can continue the party at the Brakeman bar down the street.
