Mere and Dan met on October 5th, 2019. While Mere was spending the day with her sister, Kellan, and one of her close friends, Maribel, she received a text from Dan. Unbeknownst to Mere, Dan's Uncle Russ had given him her phone number months prior. Russ and Mere's friend, Tracey, were trying to set us up for a long time before we met. After texting back and forth for a couple of hours, Dan decided to come meet Mere at Urban Lodge Brewery in Manchester, where she happened to be, close to Dan's home. Dan and Mere met that day, and the rest is history. Since that day, our relationship has grown into something pretty amazing. We have shared each other's passions from baking to woodworking and everything in between. We have experienced lots of adventures, continue to learn from each other and grow together. On October 7th, 2022, Dan proposed to Mere while they were in Camden, ME. It was a Friday night, we settled into our hotel and then decided to visit Cellardoor Winery with Oakley. As the sun was setting and it was less crowded, we decided to walk through the grapevines and let Oakley run a little after being cooped up in the car from CT to ME. While Mere was taking a picture of Oakley, she turned around to see Dan on one knee, with the best speech ever. Without hesitation, she said yes! Dan has continued to show Mere that the best things in life happen when you least expect it. We are very excited for our next adventure, and can't wait for July 20th, 2024!
