The Adventure Begins!

During COVID in July 2020, Nicole Fansler just graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mizzou and moved to Durham NC. I (Nicole Mellin) was staying at my parent’s beach house while I was able to work remotely due to COVID, but my cousins were coming to stay at the beach house for their honeymoon so I had to come back to my apartment in Durham. Nicole loved North Carolina, but did not want to be in Durham. I just wanted to go back to the beach house after my cousin’s honeymoon. However, here we both were; not wanting to be in Durham and living only 3 miles from each other. The same night that I got back from the beach, was the night Nicole and I matched on Tinder. I super liked her to make sure that she saw me. I later found out that she saw me first but didn’t want to do the “Nicole” thing again. So it’s a good thing I super liked her! She moved to Durham not even 2 weeks before that night. She will say she doesn’t believe me still, but I knew in my gut she was it for me from the second I saw her. The circumstances of us meeting, having everything aligned just so… it was nothing short of fate. Now, here we are going on 4 years, living together in a beautiful house filled with love and animals (literally filled… with 6 pets), I can finally say – I was right.
