Question

What time should I arrive at the Ceremony?

Answer

The Ceremony is taking place at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Short Hills, NJ. The Ceremony begins at 1:00pm, so kindly arrive no later than 12:45pm to take your seat. Thank you for joining us!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For the Ceremony at St. Rose, please feel free to dress more casually, still with tasteful and Church appropriate attire. For the Cocktail Hour and Reception at Hudson House, we are requesting that our guests wear Formal Attire. Think elegant, tasteful, sophisticated and classy. For women, a dress that is floor length is preferred, but cocktail/tea length is also okay. Formal separates or a jumpsuit are also appropriate for those not comfortable in a dress. For men, a dark suit (black, navy, gray) complete with a jacket and tie is most appropriate. Tuxedos are not required but welcome if you wish. Tagg, his Groomsmen and certain family members will be wearing Tuxes. Bridesmaids will be wearing floor length champagne/neutral color dresses. If you have questions on appropriate attire or attire that will be most appropriate to not match the Bridal Party or immediate family, please do not hesitate to reach out to Melissa or Tagg. Please kindly also respect our request to let Melissa be the only one wearing white.

Question

Can I bring a date or a plus one?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with everyone, but need to stick to our head count for now. If your invitation does not indicate a guest, please hold off on bringing someone. Should space open up, we'll be happy to let you know if your guest can join us for the fun! Thank you for understanding.

Question

Is there parking for the Ceremony and Reception?

Answer

Yes! You can use the Church parking lot at St. Rose for the Ceremony. Valet parking is available at Hudson House.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please kindly reply by September 10 via the reply card that came with your invitation. The completed reply card should be mailed back to Melissa & Tagg in the small reply envelope which already has postage.

Question

If I'm staying at your hotels with room blocks, will there be transportation provided to the celebrations?

Answer

Complimentary transportation will be provided from our host hotels (The Westin Jersey City Newport and Courtyard by Marriott) to the Hudson House before cocktail hour, and then back to the hotels at the end of the Reception and After Party. Please reference the TRAVEL tab of the website for more details on timing. Transportation to the Church earlier in the day will only be provided to the Wedding Party.

Question

Are children welcome to attend?

Answer

While we love all the kiddos, we’re requesting an adults only event except for the kids in the Bridal Party and close family friends. Unless indicated on your invitation, please join us kid-free. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Do I have time to go to the hotel after the Church Ceremony?

Answer

Yes! The Ceremony should be over by 2:00pm. Only immediate family and the Bridal Party are needed after that for photos. All other guests have free time from 2:00 until they catch the shuttle at one of the host hotels to arrive at Cocktail Hour at Hudson House at 5:00pm. Use those couple of hours to get to Jersey City, check-in to your hotel, change or freshen up. And then, be ready to celebrate!

Question

How far is the Ceremony from the Reception location?

Answer

The Church Ceremony is in Short Hills, NJ about 30 min from Hudson House, our Reception venue. Give yourself time- especially consider Holiday weekend traffic!
