We're getting Married!

During the summer of 2019, Melissa and Marcus both attended St. Nicholas Ranch Summer Camp as counselors. While growing in their faith, they also grew close to each other. They spent every day together, Melissa happened to spend a lot of her time at the basketball courts (where Marcus ran the athletics department) and Marcus spent a lot of time in the infirmary (where Melissa worked as the camp nurse). They spent the evenings stargazing, talking about life, their interests, and plans for the future. While neither went to camp thinking they would meet their life partner, God had other plans. After only one week they both knew they had met the one they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with.

Marcus decided he wanted to take Melissa on a weekend trip to San Francisco. To Melissa's pleasant surprise he had planned the entire weekend! He took Melissa all over San Francisco. He took her to beautiful beach outlooks, on walks in the park, to fancy seafood restaurants, and cute little coffee shops. On the last night of their trip, February 17th, Marcus took Melissa out to dinner, (to a Greek restaurant of course). After dinner, Marcus and Melissa drove across the Golden Gate Bridge and then back to Twin Peaks lookout. When they got to the top, they decided to climb to one of the peaks. It was there, overlooking the city, that Marcus asked Melissa to marry him.
