Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Melissa Banal and Adam Lynch

Activities

- Asbury Park Boardwalk: enjoy a stroll along the iconic boardwalk with shops, art installations, and beautiful ocean views. - Asbury Park and/or Ocean Grove Beaches: relax on the sandy shores or take a dip in the Ocean. September is known as "Local Summer" and may be nice for a swim! - Cookman Avenue: explore the eclectic mix of shops, galleries, and street art all along Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park. - Asbury Lanes: catch a live show or bowl at this unique, vintage bowling alley. - Silverball Pinball Museum: play classic pinball and arcade games in this retro museum. - Ocean Grove: walk by the quaint Victorian houses and the Great Auditorium, a huge wooden theater that hosts Sunday worship services and choral concerts. - Fishing Charter or Whale Whale Watching Tour: you can find a charter boat to get out on the ocean from nearby Belmar.

Restaurants

- Talula’s: known for its artisanal pizzas and farm-to-table dishes. Home to one of our favorite cocktails, their Gin and Jam. - Porta: a lively spot for pizza and Italian dishes with a cool vibe. - Cardinal Provision: BYOB brick-walled brunch spot serving breakfast, sandwiches & creative plates. If too crowded, Toast and Cross & Orange are nearby alternatives. - Mogo Korean Tacos: A unique fusion of Korean and Mexican flavors in a casual setting. - Los Barbaros Birria: authentic Mexican focused on Birria tacos, the ones you dip in a cup of brothy goodness. - Rice Asian Cuisine: great casual spot for sushi. The more upscale, Taka, is also a great option nearby. - Speakeatery: large selection of sandwiches and other lunch options. - Frank’s Deli & Restaurant: a classic deli and favorite of Anthony Bourdain's. - Capitoline: vintage, industrial-chic venue for pizza, spaghetti & meatballs & other homey classics. - Kimchi Mama: hole-in-the-wall spot serving Korean classics.

Bars

- The Stone Pony: Iconic old school live music venue and bar with a rich history, know for launching the careers of locals Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi. - Johnny Macs: our favorite bar in Asbury. A casual Irish bar that has free pizza with every drink. Just ask for a pizza ticket when you order a drink! - Watermark: enjoy a cocktail and sweeping views of the ocean and boardwalk at this second story bar. - The Beach Bar: a lively casual bar right on the beach, you can dance here any time of day. - The Wonder Bar: a landmark Asbury bar offering drinks and occasional live music. Known for the painting of Tilly, the unofficial Asbury mascot. - Lola's European Cafe: quaint, rustic-chic bar & coffee shop with outdoor seating, gelato & a creative panini menu. - Laylow: artistic and trendy Speakeasy below Reyla that serves strong cocktails.

Late Night

- Porta: turns into a popular club at night, dancing and all. - The Beach Bar: more lively late at night, lots of dancing outside next to the beach. - Johnny Macs: a popular late night hangout spot, with late night pizza. - The Baked Bear: delicious cookie ice cream sandwiches. - Bond Street: a network of bars connected by hallways and staircases open late night. - Lots of places have live music or bumping DJs so you can usually just follow your ears to find it!
