Wedding Party

A few of our faves.

Tony Golden

Best Man

In college, Chad, Erica and I were so close that they called us the Three Musketeers. We worked so well together that the professors made sure to separate us when it came time to work in groups. Notable college memory: beating Chad in a pool tournament.

Malerie Matlock

Maid of Honor

15 years ago we shared a magic of discovering "Napoleon Dynamite". I was home from college and had planned to snooze through the movie. Instead, it was the funniest thing we'd ever watched (so we watched it 5 more times that day). We laughed so hard and will crack up to this day at the mention of any line from that movie. It still goes down as one of the best days we've spent together.

Jai Smith-Avery

Groomsman

I've known Chad his entire life. Fun fact, Chad was older than me when he was born. He was and still is the oldest kid I've ever met in my life. He's just now age-appropriate.

Chandra Herndon

Matron of Honor

Favorite memory: holding Melanie as a baby. Just kidding. We love running and going to yoga together. It's our time to bond over our love of being fit and each other. Everyone should have a little sister like Melanie.

Emmanuel Brantley

Groomsman

Chad will say that he met me while editing my 10 page resume... that was actually someone else. As far as the true story, I probably had too much beer to remember.

Rachel Johnson

Bridesmaid

My favorite memories with my BFF and the bride-to-be is obviously any of the incredible shenanigans of Duchess Melanie and Queen Rachel. They were very british and very much beloved by all who saw fit to shower them with VIP entrance to at-capacity bars all throughout college. It might have been their impeccible accents, their awesome dresses or simply being honored to stand in the presence of two best friends having some of the greatest times of their lives. I am so excited for Melanie and Chad and will be forever grateful for Melanie keeping me silly, grounded and not on fire.

Allen Zow

Groomsman

I spent a lot of time trying to beat Chad at pool in college and in between a lot of great matches, we became friends.

Aryn Terry

Bridesmaid

Melanie and I traveled to the Dominican Republic together on a study abroad program in college and we created the best memories dancing bachata, eating fresh whole fish on the beach, clubbing until late in the night... and I suppose we also learned a thing or two about advertising? Wao wao my Melania is getting married!

Miguel Santiago

Groomsman

We had crossed paths a number of times during our undergrad days at Oglethorpe. But it wasn't until we did a service project in New Orleans that we started to really connect. Once we discovered that we were both blues heads, the rest was history. From many journeys to hear live blues at Fat Matt's Rib Shack to seeing Outkast during their final reunion show, we've been brothers since.

Raquel McGee

Bridesmaid

I'll always cherish our long conversations that went into the wee hours of the night while we were living in the dorms freshman year. Those were really special times to me and really built up a true sisterhood.

Jamon Amey

Groomsman

Chad and I have been friends since playing trombone in 6th grade band class. Over the years, he has become like a brother and we've had great times traveling, playing football and listening to music.

For all the days along the way
