Melanie and Luke met on a trip with Christian Veterinary Mission to the Navajo Nation. Melanie was a second year vet student, and Luke was a new veterinarian. Despite the infrequent showers on the trip, and Luke trying to teach Melanie to float horse teeth with only a touch sedation, they both took note of each other. Watching each other serve (and some coaxing by their good friends) built the foundation for a relationship that lasted the distance between Raleigh and Fallston!
