Dan and I met in March 2018, as the kids do these days, on Hinge. We had our first date at Corridor Brewing where we spent a few hours swapping stories about our jobs and our lives - we both work in insurance so I'm sure we used the word "deductible" an embarrassing number of times that first night. It was a few dates later when we spent the evening sharing some of our favorite songs with each other that we thought maybe there was something here! We share a passion for music that has only gotten more interesting as the years go on. I can now safely name the artists on the classic rock station... most of the time... and Dan tolerates Death Cab For Cutie playing nonstop in the background while we work from home. Fast forward to October 2019. I was at a tailgate in Evanston for the Ohio State Northwestern football game, oblivious to the fact that Dan was at home diligently preparing for his proposal the next morning. Dan is an early riser and unfortunately for him, he had to wait a few painstaking hours before he could pop the question. After we were officially engaged, we went back to Corridor Brewing for brunch and met up with friends at a surprise party in Wrigleyville.
