get to know our favorite people

kimberly vielhaber

MAID OF HONOR

est. 1996 - some say little sister - i like to call her a built-in best friend for life. although we weren't always bffs growing up, i am so lucky to be so close to her now. we are way more similar than we like to admit and basically have the same taste in just about everything - clothes, jewelry, dry sarcasm, etc. kim is one of the most trustworthy & hardworking people i know and i am so lucky to have her standing by my side!

eric bateman

BEST MAN

est. 2013 - there was no other choice for my best man. i met eric at franklin & marshall college as both a teammate and classmate. although we started our relationship on a more competitive note than a friendly one, by junior year we were planning to be roommates and it was clear that he was going to be a friend for life. some of my best memories from college are with eric and i will cherish them forever. though his sarcasm may offend some, eric is one of the most genuine people that I know. he is fiercely loyal, always there when called upon and embodies the definition of a best friend. rick is the brother I never had. i trust this man with my life and anyone who gets the chance to know him should consider themselves lucky.

stephanie lyons

BRIDESMAID

est. 1998 - steph & i were attached at the hip from the very first day of kindergarten. my mom was even her kindergarten teacher! we grew together throughout elementary school (well, i grew a little more than her - i was always a solid foot taller than her) and then went to separate middle, high schools, and colleges but always made an effort to stay just as close. steph is my confidant and truly someone you can fully be yourself around. 22 years later, i am proud to call her my bridesmaid.

eric brown

GROOMSMAN

est. 2000 - i clearly have a type. It is just something about guys named eric. in all seriousness, i would not be who i am today without EB. We met each other at towson united methodist church as kids. unfortunately, when his family moved churches, we fell out of touch. fast forward a decade and we reconnected in college while I was playing at f&m and he at gettysburg (we all make mistakes). despite giving the dips a loss or two, i asked him to live with me after college and i can honestly say it was one of the best decisions i have ever made. eric has been a role model in faith and in life. he has made me reflect on who i want to be and live my life with intention. i am honored to have him by my side.

emily radcliffe

BRIDESMAID

est. 2015 - emily & i were both phi mu chapter consultants right out of college. i secretly admired this hilarious southern bell from afar and wanted to be her (still do), and then we were paired to room together during our job training for 3 weeks. we've been inseparable ever since. what i admire most about emily is how intentional she is with life and our friendship. emily living in new orleans and me in baltimore, long-distance friendship is never easy - but from peachtree city, florida, chicago, vegas, to the bahamas, and everywhere in between, i can't wait to see where our friendship takes us next.

mike seicke

GROOMSMAN

est. 1998 - mike is probably the biggest surprise for my groomsman. we grew up in the same neighborhood, and the amount of times that I went inside when he came out to play is embarrassingly high. i thought Mike was mean and was specifically picking on me. what I did not realize at the time, was that seicke was one of the best friends that i had. even to this day, he tells you how it is and does not mince words. mike tells you what you need to hear, not what you want. It is something that is hard to find in people these days and i count my self lucky to have him in my life. despite living in california and not getting to hang out as much as many of my other groomsmen, the wedding party would not be complete without him by my side.

nicole eberspeaker

BRIDESMAID

est. 2011 - nicole & i both started college as speech pathology majors & were randomly paired to do a class project together & then that led us to realize we lived in the same dorm hall (shoutout tubman). the next semester, i joined phi mu & nicole became my big sister & quickly my best friend. she will unintentionally make you laugh til you cry, she is always down to get a beer with you, & will always be there for you when you need her. i cant wait to stand next to you when you get married this year & i can't wait for you to be there with me!

robbie jones

GROOMSMAN

est. 2003 - my first memory of robbie was at calvert hall baseball camps. well, that was until he “taught” me how to play football and repeatedly laid me out in some training sessions. i think i lost my memory for awhile after that. clearly, robbie & I knew each other as kids and attended calvert hall together, but our relationship didn’t really take off till after high school. countless hours on the summer baseball field led to more and more time spent hanging out and getting know what an incredible guy he is. robbie is one of those “friends for life” that the chc admissions director was always pontificating about. he is always there when needed. whether that is moving furniture of listening to problems, rob shows up. no questions asked. he makes me want to be a better friend and person.

alexis cohen

BRIDESMAID

est. 2013 - alexis is the epitome of beautiful inside and out. not only is she a stunner, but she is smart, has a heart of gold, is the most thoughtful person you'll ever meet, and has never met a stranger. how lucky am i that she is my little from phi mu?! it was destiny right from the moment we both found out we carried little combs in our purses every time we went out. alexis is just that kind of person that you know will just be in your life for the long-run. so thankful for this human.

zack pietsch

GROOMSMAN

est. 2015 - i met zack during our internship at university of maryland medical system. he is a talented gymnast and healthcare professional, but a better person. behind the constant sarcasm we throw back and forth, zack is great listener and genuinely wants to help his friends. i cannot tell you how many times i would interrupt zack’s work to talk about some silly problem. He never complained, never told me to go away. he took it all in and gave me an honest assessment of the issue. he either offered me advice or told me i was being ridiculous and that i needed to buck-up. i would not be the person I am today without his friendship and I am forever thankful for him.

meg frederick

BRIDESMAID

est. 2012 - meggie became my grand-big in phi mu in 2012 & quickly became my best friend. sometimes i think about how different (bad) my life would be if i never met meg. she really is the sweetest & most caring friend one could have. both being phi mu consultants and living in baltimore afterward brought us even closer. you will definitely find her on the dance floor our wedding night!

matt regueiro

GROOMSMAN

est. 2013 - matt is truly one of the best people that I know. We met freshman year at F&M and have been friends ever since. Rooge is brilliant and is currently in medical school at Emory University. He was also a talented soccer player on the F&M varsity team. In the classroom and on the field, Rooge was leader to everyone around him. For me, he was one of the first people I went to when I needed to talk. He helped me through a lot of tough moments in my life and I would not be where I am today without him. Despite being a stereotypical Steelers fan, he has made me realize that not all “Yinzers” are bad people.

ashley calkins

BRIDESMAID

est. 2008 - ashley & i go way back to 2008 at sherwood high school. we were super close back then & then lost touch for a few years during college. luckilly, our paths crossed again when we were roommates in federal hill. living 10 feet down the hall from each other, we quickly picked up where we left off. ashley is one of the most generous/philanthropic people i know & is always down to have a good time, whether that be wine on the couch or exploring the city. i am so thankful for our friendship!

connor finn

GROOMSMAN

est. 2013 - connor is one of the most easy-going people i know. at f&m, finn helped me realize that I needed to stop taking myself so seriously. he showed me how to enjoy life and the people around me. i put connor through the ringer sophomore year as a roommate, but he has thankfully stuck by me to this day. connor is currently studying engineering at columbia university and is building a robot that is likely going to take over the world. i hope i am on the right side of its programming.

morgan severa

BRIDESMAID

est. 2013 - i like to think morgan is my spirit animal. happy-go-lucky, hilarious, kind. her personality is so infectious - she is the kind of person who you meet & just instantly fall in love with! our friendship started out at towson in phi mu & has grown over the years. we love to take trips together & explore, whether it's nashville or san francisco (we're way overdue for a trip, btw.) fun fact - morgan & i both work for the same wedding planning company, social graces events! i will always treasure our friendship!

cory hecht

GROOMSMAN

est. 2013 - cory is probably the quietest of my groomsman but that is no indication of the impact he has had on my life. in addition to keeping me in shape (sort of) with some killer workout programs, he is also one of the stable forces in my life when things are not going to plan. cory is the one of the best listeners i know, and he knows all the right questions to help you think through whatever problem you are having. he never complains about his own circumstances and when things get tough, he just works harder. he inspires me to be a better friend, to appreciate all the things I have in life and to always keep working, not matter what life throws your way.

danielle mcconnell

BRIDESMAID

est. 2006 - danielle & i "met" online back in 7th grade. we connected on the fact that we realized we were both "dating" the same guy at the time (lol). we decided to meet up and little did we know it would lead us to be best friends. we definitely wreaked havoc throughout high school when we were together. I'll never forget sneaking danielle into public school with me - sherwood security was NOT happy. our friendship grew even stronger when we both went to towson together for college. it was such an honor to stand amongst her and her bridesmaids when she got married last year, and i can't wait for her to be up there next to me!

casey bulik

GROOMSMAN

est. 2013 - casey and i were classmates and teammates at f&m. we connected over out love of baseball and the orioles. i think our relationship was cemented during our senior trip to myrtle beach. you learn a lot about a person when you spend twelve plus hours in a car together. if I am at a level 10, i can always count on chase to help bring me back down to earth. casey understands how to enjoy life and not get too worked up over the little things. he makes me take a deep breath and live in the moment. he is an awesome friend and I am so glad that we have each other when ‘dem o’s break our hearts all season long.

haili rosenfeld

BRIDESMAID

est. 1998 - haili is another bestie that i've had since kindergarten! although we went to different schools after 1st grade, we reconnected & became best friends again in high school at sherwood. haili is the definition of free-spirit & spontaneous. she is fueled by adventure. when you're with her, you are for sure in for a wild time. she is the type of friend that will drop whatever she is doing if you need her to be there for you. i'm so lucky to have her stand by my side on my wedding!

joel kenney

GROOMSMAN

est. 2016 - joel and i met while playing summer baseball, although we had our teammates convinced that we were boys from high school. in truth, talking to joel does make you feel like you have been friends forever. he is genuine, he is open, and he cares about what you have to say. joel is just as busy as the rest of us, but he never uses that as an excuse to not check-in or hang out with his friends. he has a great sense of humor and will always put a smile on your face. i count myself lucky to have a friend like joel and I am honored that he will be standing by my side

jackie monroe

BRIDESMAID

est. 2004 - jackie is like a sister to me. we met at orientation for rosa parks middle school and instantaneously became attached at the hip. we did everything together - from family vacations to dance teams and lunch detention (oops). people would get us confused so often, that at one point we started telling everyone & our teachers that we were cousins. jackie and i have been best friends for 14 years now, through the good and the bad. our friendship is one where we can go a long time without talking, but when we see each other we pick up like no time has passed at all. i love our friendship!

scott evans

OFFICIANT

when I asked mel to marry me, i immediately knew the only person who I would want to perform the ceremony. scott was the campus minister at f&m and one of my biggest role models of faith. scott works diligently with all the student athletes and helps them discover a deeper relationship with God. my faith took a back seat in college and i did not like the person i was becoming without it. scott took time to help me get back on track and loved me through the struggle. he has continued to be involved my life and now melanie’s. he is an incredible person and I am honored that he has accepted the invitation to be our officiant.
