Things To Do

Ride Bikes to South Beach!

There are several bikes at the house available to our guests; there is also a rental shop in town, just 3 blocks away. It's about a mile an a half ride to sandy Katama Beach (South Beach). It's usually much warmer on this beach than inland, but the wind is strong. Please lock up the bikes and stay on the bike path! #safetyfirst

Hunt for Sea Glass on Lobsterville Beach

This is on our must-do for every trip to the island. The safari never disappoints and we're getting quite a collection! This beach is made of very fine pebbles and grainy sand, so shoes are necessary. Take a windbreaker along as well.

Stroll Around the Village and Town

Edgartown is a 15 minute walk from end to end. The homes and views are worth an hour or two of your time. My favorite house is 82 Fuller Street. Sean's is 117 N. Water Street. What's yours?

Drive through Tisbuty to the Cliffs at Aquinah and Gayhead Lighthouse

A 30 minute drive through cairn-divided rolling pastures puts you at the opposite end of the island from Edgartown. The Gashed Lighthouse was recently relocated due to cliff erosion. The cliffs are dramatic from the lighthouse edge, but you can also enjoy them from the beach. Park down the road and walk along the beach next to colorful, dramatic verticals- but don't get stuck in the narrow spots at high tide or you'll get your clothes all wet.

Breakfast + Coffee

Edgartown, Breakfast: -Toccopuro (amazing coffees) -Dock Street Cafe (sausage, egg, chz muffins are legit) -Among the Flowers (grilled blueberry muffins. heaven.) -Behind the Bookstore (seating for 2 only) -Back Door Donut (Oak Bluffs, bakery)
