Megan's version of our story: Phil and I first met at a First Friday Shabbat at Chabad in March 2019. We only spoke for about 5 minutes but continued running into each other at different social gatherings - ending each one enthralled in conversation with each other. Phil kept telling me he wanted to take me on a date, which obviously had me feeling excited. Then in December of 2019 at a party, I had a few too many ranch waters and ran into Phil. Armed with some liquid courage and realizing Phil might need some more directness, I flirtatiously asked Phil about "that date." He explained he thought I wasn't interested (guess I played a little too hard to get), and I explained that I was. We went on our first official date the following week. Thank goodness for those ranch waters! Phil is one of the most thoughtful, smart, hard working, and loving people I've ever met and makes me laugh every day. He makes everything from reading on the couch together to hiking the mountains of Colorado and Washington an exciting and wonderful experience. He is the one who makes it so hard to leave every morning but so easy to run home to at the end of the day. I can't wait until we're officially married! Phil's version of our story: Megan and I kept running into each other at events and had casual and flirtatious conversations, but I was never sure how interested she may be. One of those times, I came in a little stronger than usual, but she was on her way to Israel for the summer to teach English. Not knowing when she would return, I lost track and figured we would likely run into each other again in the future. This is what ultimately happened a few times after until the famous Christmas Eve Matzoh Ball event in which Megan made her interest in going on a date crystal clear. So we did! Right after the start of the new year in 2020. We dated for two months…and then I quarantined with her entire family for two months once the pandemic started. Life is so much better with Megan in it. Whether we are doing something big or small, her presence always feels comforting and right. She is one of the most selfless and caring individuals I have ever been around. This reverberates among her friends and family. It is obvious to me and others that she is built different and I love her for it. I look forward to many happy times and moments together as we start our journey through life. We can't wait to celebrate with you at our wedding in January! - The Future Copulskys
