The Proposal

September 25, 2017

I was counting inventory at work on a Sunday night when I get a text from Michael with a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge. I texted back, “Let’s Go.” By the time I got home Michael had chosen a more realistic spontaneous adventure given that we only had 2 days and San Francisco was an 11hr drive. So at 8a on September 25th, we woke up and hit the road for our crazy adventure to Cresent City, CA, home of Redwood National Park. The whole trip Michael was off and when I would ask him about it, he said he felt a little “sick.” Little did I know it was actually nerves. That evening we went for walk along the water and when we reached the end of the pier he began to explain how he loved doing crazy adventures with me and asked if I wanted to do something else crazy with him. Easiest decision I could ever make. <3

The Wedding

September 25, 2018

Let the adventures continue! Michael and I have planned a wedding road trip... We’ll leave Seattle and head to Crater Lake National Park for the night. From there we will head to Reno where we’ll meet up with my parents. The four of us will drive to Yosemite National Park and spend a couple days exploring this West Coast gem. We will then head to Lake Tahoe where Michael’s family will be meeting us. We’ll spend 4 days there with a wedding right in the middle of it all. From there Michael and I have plans to spend a couple nights in San Francisco and then a couple nights in Cresent City where he proposed before heading back home. We will have a photographer for the wedding day, Caleb Timmerman (http://thesilverbanner.com), and we can’t wait to share the photos and all the stories with y’all in January for the “after party”......

The “After Party”

January 2018

As Michael and I began to plan the wedding, the biggest challenge we faced was how spread out our family and friends are... In case you’re curious as to what mean - I am originally from Athens, GA where my parents (Kelly & Kevin) still live. Michael and I met in Memphis, TN where we have dear friends and his mother (Beth) still resides. I have Aunts and Uncles in Atlanta, GA and TX, Michael has Aunts and Uncles in TX and KY, his sisters and my dear friends are in NY and AZ, and he and I lived in Portland, OR where we have several close friends and we just recently moved to Seattle, WA. Michael and I came to the decision to have a very small wedding with only immediate family. This was a very hard decision for us to make because we wanted our loved ones to be apart of this special day in our lives, so we planned a road trip in January to be able to spend quality time with friends and family. During the week of January 20th, Michael and I will be flying in to Atlanta and spending some time both in GA and TN. We would love to see as many friends and family as we can! So let us know if you’re in the area during those dates and let’s meet up!
