Wedding day buses

Answer

On the day of our wedding we will be providing 2 shuttle services to and from some of the local hotels. Shuttle one will pick up from the Culloden Hotel at 1.40pm. Shuttle two will pick up outside Jenny Watts Pub (Bangor) at 1.40pm and then also stop at Crawfordsburn Inn at 1.45pm. Buses will depart from Clandeboye back to your hotel or Bangor town center at 11pm, 12am and 1am.

Belfast Area Taxis

Answer

Uber is available in Dublin and Belfast City only but with about a 20+ minute wait. Uber does not work from Clandeboye Lodge Hotel itself. Below are some local taxi companies we recommend booking in advance if you need to get around: Fonacab www.fonacab.com. You can download this as an app, visit the website, or call 0044 2890 333 333. Kare Kabs which you can download the app or call 0044 2891 456 777. It is two doors down from Jenny Watts for anyone needing a taxi back to Clandeboye. We do not have transport planned for Thursday evening as folks will be coming and going at various times. We will help to organize a few taxis from Clandeboye and there is a parking lot at Bangor Marina for those who are driving.

Kids under 18

Answer

We want everyone to let their hair down, so we have decided this will be an adult only wedding (as much as we love all of your kids). We will provide several babysitters' details to help with those traveling with younger ones.

What is the closest airport?

Answer

International travelers will probably want to fly into Dublin (109 miles). There are direct flights from New York to Dublin daily. George Best Belfast City (8 miles) and Belfast International (26 miles) are the closest local airports.

How to get around

Answer

Hopefully you are getting to explore Ireland and the easiest way is to rent a car directly from the airport. The cheapest is usually on Holiday Autos or Expedia. Hertz, Europcar, Avis and Budget also have direct websites. Buses and trains also run every hour from Dublin - Belfast and take about 2 hours. Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

You can never predict Northern Ireland weather! Our ceremony will be indoors. The cocktail hour is outdoors but covered by a teepee tent and our evening reception is indoors.
