Kevin fell in love with Meghan at 10 years old in Mrs. Lavner's 5th grade class. He knew from day one she was different and outgoing and would spend the entire year sending Meghan notes that read "Do you like me? Circle 'yes' or 'no'". Meghan would then spend the entire year furiously circling 'no'. Over the following years Kevin and Meghan would become high school friends, dance in musicals together, cross paths at Fredonia's college campus, and bars in Geneseo. Meghan moved to New York City and Kevin moved to Connecticut and seemingly that was that. Fast forward to July 31st, 2017. Meghan was spending her 28th birthday alone with her parents and feeling incredibly single. As much as she loved her parents, it sure would have been nice to share it with someone. She put out into the universe 'please let this be the last birthday I spend without a significant other....' Two days later, Kevin sent Meghan a Facebook message saying he was in NYC for work and asked if she'd like to grab a drink and catch up. 18 years later, Meghan finally gave Kevin a 'yes'.
In February 2021, Kevin and Meghan closed on their first home just outside Raleigh, North Carolina. Kevin was insistent that on the closing day, they would drive out to the house with their friend and photographer Tim, to take photos of the empty house "for before photos". After a stressful and rain soaked day, the last thing Meghan wanted to do was drive 40 mins to take photos of an empty house.... When they arrived at the house, Tim suggested taking a photo on the porch before going in. Meghan agreed, but could not understand why Kevin wasn't facing the camera. That was until she saw he was on one knee with a ring in his hand. Tim got photos of every wave of emotion; from confusion to disbelief, utter happiness back to disbelief, and after many tears, another "yes".
