When traveling to Homer, guests should fly into Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC). Homer is located on the Kenai Peninsula, South of Anchorage. We recommend driving from Anchorage to Homer. It can be a more affordable option than flying. While the drive from Anchorage to Homer is about 4 hours, the scenic drive and wildlife makes the time fly by! There are also several stops worth making while driving down the Kenai Peninsula. We have a few links below of our favorite places to stop along the way! Rental cars are not available in Homer, though there are limited local inexpensive cab companies available for transportation while in town.
