The suggested attire is Garden Attire. For women: Sundresses, floral prints, dressed up rompers. Please keep in mind that the pier is not stiletto friendly. There will also be carnival rides and games from 7-9. If you'd like to partake in the rides, please dress appropriately or flash everyone, we don’t care. For Men: Suits in lighter hues. Dress slacks and nice button down shirts. Things that would make your mom and your girlfriend say "awww you look nice"
We are avoiding the term reception and calling our celebration just that, a celebration! We want the start of our life together to look like our life together! This means no seated formal dinner or seating charts. Eat when you get there or eat after you've had your fun at pacific park! Food and drinks will be available during the duration of our celebration. Dancing will begin at 9:15 after Pacific Park closes.
Our celebration will be held at the Merry Go Round Building / Santa Monica Carousel located at the beginning of the Santa Monica Pier. Along the Santa Monica Pier there is a small theme park called "Pacific Park" that is open until 9pm. For those who would like to partake in the rides and games, wrist bands will be provided.

Guests will need to make their own travel arrangements to the Ceremony and then to the Pier. We do suggest allowing yourself enough travel time to arrive at the chapel between 5:35pm and 5:45pm. Ceremony starts promptly at 6 and Guests will not be allowed to enter after the start of the ceremony. Guests should not arrive on chapel grounds prior to 5:30pm.
For the Ceremony: Wayfarers Chapel has two available parking lots. an upper lot and a lower lot. Please keep in mind that the Ceremony site and Celebration at the Santa Monica Pier are a 45-60 minute drive apart. For our Celebration: For those staying at the Courtyard by Marriott: We highly suggest parking at the hotel and walking to the Pier. It's a 10 min walk between the two. For those Guests who are not staying overnight, there is parking available at the Pier but won't be guaranteed.
Wayfarers Chapel and the couple ask that no video or pictures be taken during the Ceremony. You are welcome to take pictures of the Chapel prior to the start of the ceremony only. After the Ceremony, Guests should immediately leave for the Santa Monica Pier.
Beer, wine and his and her specialty cocktails as well as a assortment of soft drinks will be provided
Yes! Our celebration will be held around the beautiful hand-craved merry go round. We will have exclusive use of the carousel for the duration of our party! We require that guest over 200 lbs please ride only in the gondolas and not on the horses. We also ask that you don't drink and carousel.
