Once upon a time there were two people in their early 20’s who moved to South Tampa at the same time. Only living a mile down the road from each other, they both downloaded the app…TINDER. As they were swiping left and right then right and left something caught their eyes more than the rest. Now you see before the decision was made to download tinder. There was an app that truly started it all, Instagram. Rob with his over pouring of ladies in his DMs had a girl named Megan also in there. They talked, complimented and liked each others pictures. However, somewhere along the way Megan got deleted and some might say blocked. The reasons have never been told. It’s a mystery no one will ever know. Fast forward to loves number one app, Tinder. Megan saw Rob on the app and said to her self, “this guy”. She wanted to swipe right but she had to phone a friend to make sure she was making the right decision. The phone rings and Dana answers. Her amazing advice was, “it will only be weird if he swipes right too so just do it and see what happens”. Megan swipes right, and a couple SECONDS go by. CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE A MATCH! There’s Rob, “well well well look who it is” We met two days later after two long nights of random conversations and many laughs. Best friends since we swiped right on “this guy!” / “this girl!”

We have all been waiting for this day. When it finally happened everyone said the same thing, "About damn time Rob!" So how did the engagement play out? Well, I (Megan) booked a trip to the Red Woods in northern California sometime in November. I was extremely excited since this was the place Rob has wanted to visit for many years, so I thought. Turns out it was not the Red Woods it was the Sequoia Nation Forest. Needless to say I was unable to get a refund on those already booked tickets... Rob went ahead and purchased new tickets and planned out a trip to Fresno California. From there we rented a car and drove to Yosemite where we hiked for 2 days. After an amazing experience in Yosemite we drove to the Sequoias where Rob made a comment that would throw me off completely. Our first night at our hotel we were laying in bed when a diamond commercial came on. Rob stated, "When we get back home we should go to the Gold and Diamond Source to look at rings!". Needless to say I 100% fell for that and went to sleep very upset. After breakfast we went on our first hike to see these amazing trees. Looking back I could tell Rob was overwhelmed with many emotions. One of them being stress, due to the fact there was a particular location that he was wanting to ask me at and he could not find it. About 2 hours into our hike we found it. Rob set up the tripod like he had been doing during the whole trip. He first snapped a couple pictures of just me and then he ran over to get pictures of us together. Little did I know it was on record not picture mode. But rewind to him taking pictures of me...it was in that moment I said to myself, "Man this would have been such a magical spot for him to ask me to marry him but I know he isn't going to." THEN BAM!!! Rob did it!!! He actually got down on one knee and said WILL YOU MARRY ME?! I ugly cried and said are you serious too many times to count. Of course I was going to say yes!!! That moment is a moment we both will cherish for the rest of our lives. A moment that was worth the wait. Some of you might be wondering where he kept the ring...I know I was! I mean I was the one that packed his bag after all. Turns out he emptied out the aleve bottle and wrapped the ring in cotton, then placed it at the bottom of the bottle before placing the pills back in. I even had a headache that day and took aleve out of the bottle!!!! He is a smart man! He had me so fooled. LOL
