Eat all the tacos
It's a great debate amongst Austenites where you'll find the best breakfast tacos. Megan frequented Tyson's Tacos just north of campus during her time at UT but Torchy's is the way to Dylan's heart. I encourage you to try a few from the list and report back your favorite!
Shop South Congress
South Congress is known for it's great restaurants and funky boutique shops. Grab a slice of pizza from Home Slice, coffee from Joe's, or find a treasure in Uncommon Objects.
Grab a Brew
There is no shortage of great breweries in Austin! Centrally located you have Lazarus Brewing on the East Side, Hold Out Brewing, Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company (ABGB), Zilker Brewing Company, or just across the street from the venue you can find Central Machine Works. If you are open for venturing a bit outside the city Jester King and Vista Brewing are some of our favorites!
Take in the views at Mt. Bonnel
It takes 102 steps to make it up Mt. Bonnell but once you're at the top, you can see the beautiful rolling hills and Lake Austin!
Enjoy Award-Winning BBQ
If you like meat, this city is pretty neat. Use this list of BBQ spots to guide your taste buds on a meat sweat-inducing journey. Keep in mind, if you decide to try out Franklin's, you'll need to wake up before dawn - something Megan has never done before.
Take a walk through the Greenbelt
Austin has trails that run through most of the city! If you want to explore, there are several access points that can be found in the link here.
Check out Barton Springs
An Austin institution. After working on your pool body with tacos and BBQ, belly flop into this natural pool where Robert Redford learned to swim as a boy. If swimming isn't on your to-do list in November, you can still stop by to see the regulars doing the polar plunge.
