We met our sophomore year at Mizzou. Our first date was at a restaurant that's since been demolished and we saw This Means War, which received a 26% on Rotten Tomatoes. We've seen better movies since.
Shoutout to all our KC favorites including Boulevard Brewery and Kelly's in Westport, which dishes out 42oz "Big Beers" of Bud Light for $8. You can't get 42oz of water for that kind of money in NYC.
If you haven't had it, Andy's frozen custard was born in Brendan's hometown Springfield, was in Megan's college backyard, and has been a constant supply of calories in our relationship.
Brendan is a diehard Cardinals fan and Megan is a ... supporter of the Cubs. Bleacher seats, beer and hot dogs make this a rivalry we continue to love celebrating.
These are our cats, George and Dee. Dee is George's mom and her real name is Sunny Delight and she was a show cat. They look much sweeter and cuddlier than our illustration depicts.
After college, Meg and Brendan both got gigs in KC. If you make it back that way, here's our recos: breakfast: Succotash, lunch: Westside Local, dinner: Q39, and then sing and dance at the Levee.
Pizza is something we take very seriously. Our go-to spot is Percy's on Bleecker (say hey to Manuel). B gets pepperoni and Meg gets a slice of white. Other faves: Scarr's, Prince Street and Joe's.
B proposed on a sailboat overlooking the city. Meg was not at all surprised because he was very sweaty. We celebrated with friends and fam and flew to Italy the next day. It was a good day.
Don't worry, the hats are for fashion, not fandom.
This is at brunch. We don't normally look this good at brunch.
Meg loves squirrels, so naturally we dressed up as a squirrel + a tree one year.
At a baseball game. Definitely haven't been drinking.
Fresh off our engagement. Can you see the sweat on B's shirt?
This is in Capri from our Italy trip. B shaved his beard before this pic, much to all of our surprise and curiosity. It's a solid pic nonetheless.
"Here's a wild Meg & B in their natural habitat..."
Trying to date ourselves a little bit here. Great form tackle going on behind us.
This is right when we met. *sigh* I know, there's a lot to digest here.
I'm not sure who's happier about being in San Francisco, us or the guy in the background.
This is also a pretty old picture. You can tell because of how lackluster Brendan's facial hair is (this is written by Brendan, don't worry).
Brendan loves this picture. Megan does not. But marriage is all about compromises.
This was from our first date. We learned that we can both make this face, that we both know the words to "Red Ragtop" and that neither of us believe in loyalty when playing the game 7-11-Doubles.
This was taken on our like 5th(?) anniversary (who knows, ya know?) - Meg flew in from NY to surprise B and on the same day, he got his job offer to move to NYC. It was emotional to say the least.
We won our annual pumpkin carving contest (two-time champs) with this rendition of Dacula. But this was mostly included to highlight how many bad hair phases B has had.
This is a face swap. I'm sorry.
The color of B's hair is a mystery. It truly is.
Dee (left) and George (right). Swing by our apartment on Sullivan Street and you might see them chilling in the window.
