Willows Lodge offers rooms. There will be a discounted rate offered by giving Scott Hall/Megan Callan name. Willows Lodge requires guests to book a room for two nights on a weekend -- but they may consider waiving this if they book a lot of reservations for another wedding Saturday evening. Nearby hotels also include -- Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton in Woodinville, Courtyard Marriot in Kirkland (also apparently pet friendly), The Lodge at St Edwards State Park (a bit further of a drive perhaps but very interesting historic property).
We love kids, but we are envisioning an evening where you all can enjoy yourselves without chasing small humans around the room and worrying about them catching themselves on fire with the amount of candles we (really just Megan) ordered. There will be some children in attendance at the wedding (Scott's daughter, our nieces and adopted nephews/nieces), but we would like to keep it limited to these immediate family member's children. It will be difficult to accommodate everyone's children in the venue as well (seeing as over half of our guests all have children). We realize some of you may be making this trip as a family vacation. One possible alternative wise Jody Turin suggested was perhaps seeing if a babysitter could be available to watch your kids at hotel. At this time we are unaware of babysitters in the area, we will ask around. Also, not sure how reliable certain websites such as "Care.com", "Sitterycity.com", or "Babysittersregistry.com" are - but this might be something.
In fact -- we did not register. Megan has household items galore (including a storage unit in Eugene with MORE household items and childhood memorabilia) and Scott has man-cave decorations/paraphernalia (plus 3 motorcycles including Megan's tiny dirt bike, two bicycles, an RC outdoor truck, tons of tools, rifles, pistols, other attack weapons, etc etc) taking up our garage and ANOTHER storage unit up in Gig Harbor. Instead of making a dedicated registry, for those of you who would like to give a gift we were hoping to put money from the wedding towards a honeymoon trip. --> Seeing as we will be broke after spending $ on this wedding and a new super-duty truck for 2022.
