We first met at Alex and JPaul's annual Christmas party. It was a very brief, first encounter, where he came to my friends' Christmas party with a mutual friend who was also invited to the party. Pete was there long enough to joke the keg beer of choice, pull me aside to tell me I am "the most gorgeous girl, in the room", then POOF, they made there exit to meet his sister who was in town. The following week, he slid into my DMs :)
Peter moved in, in November of 2019. Then 4 months later, the world shut down. We spent the last half of March. until I was able to go back to the office full time, in September, working from home in a 900 square foot apartment. That will make you close! I'm just thankful I was in lock-down with my best friend.
Danielle (yes, my gorgeous bridesmaid, Danielle) texted me early in the month to plan a double date.. With her crazy schedule, I didn't think anything of it, as it is normal for her to make plans ,far in advance;) Three weeks later, our date night was here. So, I came home from work to get ready for dinner at Waterman's. When I was almost ready, Pete tied the ring onto our dog, Jetty's, bandanna. He called me out in a worried manor (Jetty had been having health issues) but was not telling me what was wrong. He just kept alluding there was something wrong with him. Me, being a tad inpatient, especially when it comes to my dog, blurted out, "Babe, use your words". I couldn't wait. I bent over to see if I could find the issue myself. That's when I saw it!! I couldn't believe that moment was real. I stood up, Peter took my hand, told me I was his Angel, and said, "I want you to be my Angel for ever; will you marry me??" - Yes, of course!!! After lots of hugs and a couple phone calls, we went to dinner to celebrate with Dan and Ian.
....and we can't wait to see what amazing things come our way, as we do life together. <3
