Live music brought Megan and Patrick together for the first time at a Rainbow Kitten Surprise concert in St. Paul, MN. While he definitely had eyes for her, Patrick was too scared to flirt with Megan because she was dancing so much - he didn't want to interrupt the concert since she was so into it! Later that year, they reconvened at another concert and Megan was dancing just as much, but she had never heard the band before. Patrick then realized that Megan just loves to dance, and shortly after he asked her on their first date to a local sushi restaurant. The rest is history!

PK planned a camping trip for the two of them over Memorial Day Weekend 2023. He mapped out all of the mountain bike trails, fly fishing spots, and campsites for the long weekend. After packing up all of their bikes, gear, and Berkeley (of course!) they took off on Friday to Taylor Park Reservoir where they would camp that night with tacos, spicy mezcal margs, and a beautiful sunset. The next day, they ate breakfast, went fishing, and then stopped for lunch at back at Taylor Park Reservoir. After lunch, PK encouraged Megan to try fishing one more time on a muddy bank. PK pretended to help her adjust her flies, and then instead got down on a knee and popped the question. Megan was so surprised that, instead of saying 'yes', she just exclaimed "Are we getting married?!?". They then popped champagne, did another photoshoot, and then celebrated the rest of the weekend in Crested Butte. They capped it off with a surprise get together with friends at Zuni Street Brewing back in Denver.
