Great Smoky Mountains National Park offers more than 850 miles of well-marked trails. If you are staying in Pigeon Forge, the Sugarlands Visitor Center off Highway 441 is a great place to start. Laurel Falls - 2.6 miles, moderate difficulty. This 80-foot waterfall has an upper and lower section that is divided by a walkway crossing the stream. Baskins Creek Falls - 3 miles, easy hike. A steep trail leads down to this scenic, remote waterfall. Hen Wallow Falls - 4.4 miles, moderate difficulty. The waterfall is located on a short side trail off of the Gables Mountain Trail. Indian Creek and Toms Branch Falls - 1.6 miles, easy hike. This roundtrip hike passes by two beautiful 25 foot waterfalls in the Deep Creek area. Ramsey Cascades - 8 miles (roundtrip), strenuous. This is a more challenging hike, but this trail boasts the tallest waterfall in the Smokies at 100 feet. The waterfall cascades into a small swimming hole.

At 1,800 feet above sea level, the SkyBridge is the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America. The bridge stretches almost 700 feet across a deep valley with panoramic views of the Smoky Mountains. You can occasionally see a black bear from this vantage point.
Visit this rustic, industrial-chic moonshine distillery tucked into the Smoky Mountains in the middle of downtown Gatlinburg. Sugarlands offers stillhouse tours, tastings of moonshine and assorted spirits, and live music at its back porch cocktail bar. It’s open daily 10am-10pm.
