Our Story

Cam and Meg’s story began in February of 2021, right in the middle of a world that had mostly shut down. Their first dates weren’t candlelit dinners but skiing the slopes of West Point-one of the only ways to safely see another human during COVID. What started as socially distanced conversations quickly turned into something much more. As restrictions were lifted, Cam made frequent trips to Ridgefield, Connecticut, where Meg’s family welcomed him with open arms. Before long, he was spending most holidays there and had officially become “part of the family.” Summers were spent in the Outer Banks with Cam’s family-where Megan learned that this was not just a vacation spot, but eventually the place Cameron would ask her to marry him. Before their paths crossed, Meg’s life had already spanned continents. Born in England, she spent much of her childhood in California before moving back to England, earning her psychology degree from Bath Spa University. Cameron, moved throughout the Midwest growing up and calls West Virginia home. He then attended Marion Military Institute before graduating from West Point in 2023 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Their first home together was in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where Cameron attended Engineer Officer School and served as a platoon leader. Meg bravely adjusted to small-town life complete with a Target an hour away (truly devastating), while Cameron competed in neighborhood lawn competitions like it was an Olympic sport. In Missouri, they built an incredible community, explored the Ozarks, hosted friends and family, and discovered how much they loved creating a home side by side. Now settled in Little Rock, Arkansas, Cam works as a project engineer in the Dam Safety Program with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, while Meg revisited her passion for visual merchandising and is currently thriving at Altar’d State. They love traveling, hosting friends, chasing a little thrill, and debating what to watch usually football for Cam and rom-coms for Meg. She even got him hooked on Bridgerton! Their home runs on love, laughter, and clearly defined kitchen roles: Meg is the cook, Cam “experiments” with an ungodly amount of seasoning, and somehow a few of his meals have recently earned her approval. At the heart of it all, Cam and Meg are best friends deeply in love, always laughing, and so excited to celebrate their forever with the people who mean the most to them.
