Shout out to our Bunnyman family, who will be serving up beers at the wedding! Locally owned, founded, and operated, Bunnyman Brewing offers a wide selection of craft beers through their 18-tap self-pour system. The brewery is named after a long-time local urban myth about an ax-wielding man dressed in a white bunny costume who wreaked havoc in Fairfax County and throughout the region.
The Workhouse Arts Center is a massive adaptive reuse project which re-purposes the former Lorton Prison into a remarkable arts center providing nearly a dozen gallery spaces of ever-changing art exhibitions; a wide variety visual arts classes and workshops for adults and children; and supports the art and studios of more than 65 professional artists. The center offers year-round performances in theater, music and comedy; health and wellness activities and classes; and houses the Lucy Burns Museum honoring 91 years of history and the story of the imprisonment of the suffragists at the Workhouse.
Old Town is Alexandria’s beloved downtown and nationally designated historic district on the Potomac River waterfront. The King Street Mile and surrounding brick-lined sidewalks are studded with centuries-old architecture, historic attractions and independent businesses.
The city has so much to offer, but it's a bit of a drive - around 45 minutes - from the hotel and venue. If you're thinking of exploring D.C. while you're here for our wedding, consider renting a car or budgeting a little extra for some pricier Ubers. That way you can get around with ease and enjoy all the sights the city has to offer.
