Really good wine and small plates! A bit pricier than a lot of the other vineyards in the area, but well worth it for the ambiance and sights.

Perfect for lunch after a hike or in between hikes, this popular restaurant has tasty brews and lots of outdoor seating so you can continue to enjoy the views.

A hidden gem on the East Coast containing exciting visiting exhibits (will update closer to wedding weekend) along with a wide variety of of artistic treasures from all over the world and through time. Popular for it's exhibit featuring the only remaining Fabergé Eggs.

Smithsonian National Zoological Park

One of our favorite places in the District. Enjoy beautiful outdoor exhibits and the opportunity to see the nation's world renowned Giant Panda house at the Conservation Biology Institute. Admission is FREE, and the park is easily accessible using the D.C. Metro (red line).

Hike Old Rag

One of our favorite hikes in Shenandoah! Be prepared for a fun hike with lots of good views of the Park. A word of caution: while not too long in distance, it is a pretty intense hike that includes a rock scramble on one side of the mountain (recommend doing the scramble going up). Comfortable clothes, plenty of water, and a snack recommended.
