Make sure to check out Aspen when you're here! We love exploring downtown and grabbing a bite to eat outside so we can people watch. Visit the John Denver Sanctuary. Take the Gondola up Aspen Mountain for views and lunch. Then hop on the bus from Aspen Highlands to see the Maroon Bells, a breathtaking view where we got engaged. If you feel like driving and soaking in some incredible views, go up Independence Pass and stand atop the Continental Divide. And make sure to stop at the Independence ghost town on the way!
Marble, Colorado quarries some of the best Marble in the world, so this little town is a must see! Rent an ATV or Jeep and visit the Crystal Mill! We prefer the ATV's so we can drive ourselves, but if you want a more relaxing trip to see this historic site, check out the Jeep tours! We love going to Glenwood Springs and visiting the Iron Mountain Hot Springs! With a kid's pool and secure locker rooms, we recommend this hot springs! Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is fun for kids! Cave tours, rides, and amazing views of our valley. The Pullman is one of our very favorite restaurants!
Explore downtown Basalt and visit our favorite coffeeshop, Craft Basalt. We love to stop in to Frying Pan Anglers to get new flies and hear how the Frying Pan river is fishing. Willits Town Center is also a cool area with shopping and great restaurants. Make sure to stop into Bristlecone Mountain Sports for all of your mountain essentials!
